The construction and ease of assembly is pretty nice in that there is a tail section complete with an incorporated loop for hanging it up by, 4 extension lengths that can be added or removed to give you optimum length for your particular roof, and a head piece that the brush attaches to. Each pole section is fairly light which makes the weight fairly manageable even when all the sections are assembled together. As to the pole's durability, I'm thinking after trying it for a while its OK at best for general use but if you put any real tension/weight on it when using it fully assembled with all pieces, I'd be concerned it'd bend or break. Additionally, the brush is something akin to a toilet brush and pliable enough to be bent into whatever shape that best fits your gutter. Unfortunately, I could never set the angel good enough to totally clean the gutter except for the really large leaves that were up there. It didn't work so well on the neighbor's pine needles that had blown in and lay in the bottom of the gutter. I also tried to screw on paint rollers, a cleaning brush, and an attachment for hanging Christmas lights but the threads on the pole are sized too large to fit any of these. On a positive note, this gutter brush is good for getting things like whiffle balls and frisbees out of the gutter if you have wild armed kids (or their parents) around like we do. So I like the idea of remaining on the ground rather than climbing up a ladder to monkey around on my roof now that I'm a little older and hopefully a little smarter than I was just a decade or so ago. Unfortunately, this gutter cleaning tool doesn't quite fit the bill for a total solution but I can see me using it and peak times when big leaves are flying everywhere or when another frisbee gets stuck in the gutter.
