It is quite thin, but it has been nonslip even with the pets running all over it. No noxious fumes after opening (we’ve had this with other brands). Eh. It's a thin rug, but that's the washable style I knew that going into the purchase. But the print is poor quality. If you push the fibers to one side you see white ( walking over it does this) if the rug wasn't a dark color you might not notice it so much.
