Portion size is a perfect once a day supplement to dry food. Ingredients seem to be high quality and as far as the taste goes, it's kind of hard for me to say but my cat loves it. I like the trays that it comes packed in for keeping my cupboard organized. The little container is very light however and my cat was pushing all over the kitchen and not finishing it all since it was so hard for him to get to the bottom. I ended up using a Dremel to carve out a hole to hold the tray in place. Now it stays in place and he is able to finish the entire portion. I've been feeding these to my furry friend for many years now and he is very happy with them and I love the ease of use. No need for a dish. Just swap out the empty one from yesterday with a fresh one at feeding time and we are good to go. I have a tuxedo short hair and he prefers the cuts over the pate. I highly recommend these to anyone looking an easy, nutritious way to feed their cat. ... show more

I use these for my elder cat who has some teeth issues, and for our barn cat to supplement his gopher meals. They (both cats) much prefer the cuts in gravy and I just recently accidentally ordered the pate style again...but the barn cat will eat whatever...indoor cat is a bit of a jerk and will not eat the pate but loves the cuts in gravy. Anyway, all cats are a bit different, but two of my three cats seem to dig these. I like the portioned amounts as it prevents having to use the can toppers and such to buy the bigger cans, and I can half-meal easily with the twin packs. I know these are a bit more waste generating that the cans...but damn these little suckers are convenient. ... show more

My 17 yr old aging tabby seems to love this food. She only eats table food but makes an exception for sheeba pate. My only complaint is the company needs to make it less messier to open to pull back the aluminum covering. It’s hard to peel back and often the cat food gets on my hands.

My eldest kitty is nearing 15 and minus a few teeth, meaning that she now has a hard time eating crunchy, dry food. On a mission to find her a new, suitable wet diet, I started purchasing different brands and varieties left and right. I came across these Sheba Perfect Portions pates with fingers crossed. After a few weeks of feeds, here are the pros and cons I've found. The pros are that my picky kitty loves the flavor and absolutely licks the bowl clean. Also, the portions really are perfect for her and there is never any worry about having to store any left over open food. The cons are that the packaging is absolutely terrible. Half the time when I'd snap the two portions in half, the foil would tear awkwardly opening both sides and leaving me scrambling to store a serving for later (something I was trying to avoid for simplicity's sake). The other half of the time, even if I snapped the portions cleanly, getting the foil off was a pain and a half. I spent more time struggling to open the foil and not get the juice everywhere or spill food on the floor than my cat spent actually eating it. In the end, I decided to go with another brand in a can and a universal cat top to store between feeds. Not ideal, but easier than fighting the Sheba foil packaging. But if the packaging was updated a little to make opening less of a struggle, I'd switch back in a second! If you don't mind wrestling with foil and cleaning up spilled juice, the food itself is a hit with the kitties! Only recommend for now if you like your cat food experience to include a free workout. ... show more

Finding the perfect food that this little picky eater has been a task. This variety pack is awesome. I wouldn't know the flavor because I don't eat it....but she LOVES all these recipes in this box. She gets these flavors for breakfast and it's a great start to her day. The portion size is great because if she's still hungry you can always pop open another one and it not be a horrible waste if it's not finished. ... show more

My cat is like Mikey, he won't eat anything (Life cereal commercial). Hey, Mikey, he likes it. I taste test food for my cat (sounds gross but try it) and I don't agree with Oreo. He loves it, I can't get passed the smell. So, according to my cat, 2-3 portions for a kitten not quite 2 y/o is purr-fect. The ingredients are impeccable. If you want your baby to have foods that fit Jackson Galaxy's credentials, this is one of them. Believe it or not, Sheba is actually cheaper than 9Lives or Friskies, in most places and the cuts are bite size even for babies. My cat has something wrong with his jaw, but he can chew this. They just came out with extra gravy ones, another delight for Oreo. Start here if you don't know what to get for your cat. ... show more

Sheba much easier to open than other brands. Cat gobbles every bit of it it up. Only have given him seafood, salmon & whitefish because I know he loves those flavors. A lot less waste..used to leave food when I used the small cans, not now. Use this 2-3 times a day as supplement to dry food. Save lot of money using this product. Will continue to purchase.
