I have purchased two of these garden benches ...one for me; one for my sister. We are both of the age where getting up from a "weeding position" or any project that requires a kneeling position is not as easily accomplished as it was during our younger years. I bought this model because the sides aren’t quite as tall, I’m a relatively short woman. It works great! I can getup from the ground easily. Additionally, when sit on it, I can still easily reach the ground, so I can weed this way as well. I gave 4 stars for sturdiness because others complained about it being not solid enough, and I can appreciate this, there is a slight bowing of the sides when I use it to get up, but it has worked perfectly for me (130#) and I don’t anticipate any issues with it down the line. It doesn’t dig into my lawn either. I’m very pleased.

I am tall and in my early 40's. Yet kneeling down and staying on my knees to pull the weeds was no longer an option for me. I started dreading the work, just because I knew I had to sit on my knees. Then I got this and it is awesome!!!! comfortable to sit or kneel on; when kneeling, the handles allow you to support yourself while getting up; you can flip it and have a little bench that you can use. I just wonder why did it take me this long to buy one.

I have had a plastic kneeling/ sitting stool that I loved. However, over time the plastic became brittle and broke. This is the reason I switched to a metal one. I was afraid that the metal one might fold while I was sitting on it. I was surprised and pleased that the metal one had a secure folding mechanism that is sturdy and very easy to use. Great product.

My husband actually laughed when this came. However, he has used it more than I have. It is perfect for getting to the lower cabinets. Easy on the knees! And makes getting up easier

I had hoped the bench would have had a little more padding for my old knees. I might as well just sit on the ground. The side bars are not at a height where it is easy to grip and use them to help me get up either if you are a shorty like me.

Purchased this for my husband who does yard work but has a hard time getting up and down without help. He has used this when he is out in the yard. I am not always there to help him get up and he has no trouble using the legs/arms to get up. Glad I got it for him.
