I really love this bed. It was a slight hassle putting together but that’s because I’m not a very handy person. The mattress is an 8 in, which still left a little room on the back side of the bed. If it wasn’t for the fact that my kids needed a bed sooner rather than later I would have returned it. Pieces fit together poorly, it’s made of poor quality material, lots of pieces were damaged in different ways. It squeaks because of the thin cheap materials, and my oldest doesn’t want to sleep in her top bunk because of the squeaking. Aesthetically, I like the way it looks. This bed went together easily in about 90 minutes with 2 people. It looks amazing. Pro Tip: if you’re thinking about a canopy curtain like this purple Akiky canopy curtain pictured, have it on hand while assembling the bed so you don’t have to turn around and take the frame apart again to install the curtain (no big deal, only took 10 minutes).
