I recently purchased L'Oreal's Steampod Pro 3.0 on Amazon Prime day. At $50 off, it was too good of a deal to pass up. After a few weeks of use, here's my initial feedback. The partnership between L'Oreal and Rowenta to create this product is a good one - they've made a great product. So far, this splurge purchase has been worth every penny. I’m not good at styling my hair, I’m a wash & go type of person. Since I turned 30, my hair gets more unruly, wavier (in the weirdest way) and frizzier every year. Now I have to use a styling tool to tame my hair into presentable style! This SteamPod doesn’t use heat to straighten or curl, it uses steam which is less damaging. It's easy to use despite the larger size. With my old GHD Platinum+ and T3 SinglePass flat irons, my hair got fried despite only using it 2x a week. Not with this baby, and I see similar results -- my wavy, unruly hair is straight, smooth, shiny, and less frizzy after one pass. It also doesn't feel as dry. I have tried two styles so far on my just below shoulder length hair — straight and loose curls. Both easy to do, and the style held up all day in the Bay Area temps. Bonus - it takes less time for me to achieve these looks than if I used a hair dryer and round brush. My only nit and it's a tiny one: Like all steam irons, you need to use distilled water so you avoid mineral build up and damaging your SteamPod.

I have struggled for years with poofy frizzy half wavy/curly hair. Hair washing days were always the worst. With the Steampod Pro my hair is silky smooth and shiny. NO frizz… NO waves.. and NO Curls… plus the shiny smooth finish lasts… I’m not big on leaving reviews but I had to leave one for this. Can’t go wrong with this purchase.

Be careful because it does not have complete information and the iron does not work in several Latin American countries. It only works with 110 volts. It doesn't work for me in Bolivia. Besides that it arrived in terrible conditions, the color of the plastic has gray tones as if it were used... I had too many expectations with this iron, it was one of the most expensive purchases I made, because everything on Youtube seems perfect. A friend who got sick with COVID brought it to me in Bolivia and then the deadline to request a refund passed. I have a very expensive iron that is of no use to me. A heart broken experience with the product and with the seller who is AMAZON.

This thing is amazing. I've seen slight differences between other straighteners, but this one is really and truly much better than anything else I've tried. I had the first gen, which was also good, but heavier and the cable running to the "pod" part was unwieldy. Frankly the whole device was. This one is much easier to maneuver and feels more or less the same as any other straightener. I can use much lower heat on it and still get phenomenal results. I have fine 3b hair and use the lowest setting (350) and I can still do a single pass and get great shiny smooth results. If I use this with Color Wow Dream Coat it looks like I got a keratin treatment AND it can stand up to humidity. This is a product that was absolutely worth the money. A word of warning, ALWAYS use distilled water. I upgraded from the 1.0 to the 2.0 because I thought "I don't have hard water, I can use my sink just a few times it's no big deal!" It is a big deal and ended with my steampod in the trash because it was clogged. ONLY use distilled water, every time, 100% of the time, or it will clog and stop steaming. I've had my 2.0 for 2 years now with heavy use and the steam still works great.

After I accidentally left my loreal steamer, v2, in a hotel, I couldn't live without it so bought a new one. Love it! Easier to use than the v2 pod. I have irish hair, frizzy, curly, this steamer makes my hair smooth and silky. Less damage and I will forever be using this. Works for my hair and fast results! Great item Loreal!!!

I had never seen anything like this here in the US. I had gone to Portugal & this was what the stylist was using. My daughter took a pic & we had to order it. I was floored with how easily my hair was straightened by the first passing. The price was a bit steep, but so worth it in comparison to other high-end brands where I needed to keep re-doing the same strands of hair multiple times. I have thick, long hair & I’m done straightening it in much less time. My daughter loves it as well & she has way longer hair. Our hair is not just straight; it has a healthy shine that looks salon finished.
