First, I do not notice a scent from this product, and I am highly sensitive to scents (I don’t use scented products). My straight-ish hair is to grazing shoulders length. Mix of gray/white sprinkled throughout my “dyed to my original hair color” of strawberry blonde. I definitely can tell an improved texture difference directly after a showered hair washing/conditioner, followed by using this product exactly per instructions. If I don’t use this product, my gray/white hairs are not as straight/blending with my other colored and natural hairs. My damp hair texture immediately feels straighter and already detangled… before I use the microfiber hair wrap, to gently absorb as much dampness as possible (NEVER rubbing hair). I let my hair air-dry to point of mild+ generalized dampness. Then blow dry whole head (not middle/ends) briefly on medium heat for about 1 - 2 minutes while using hand to fluff hair from scalp, then switch to low heat with quality styling brush to finish up styling rest of lengths. A LOT LESS FRIZZ noted in general, but especially the gray/white hairs. Texture is silky to touch/handle. Next day waking up (satin pillowcase used) my hair has a controlled hair style straightness where my gray/white hairs even cooperate and nicely blend in with my dyed hair - looks very natural and realistic and no tangles at all. Many people don’t realize my hair is dyed. My hair is then very silky shiny and healthy looking and feeling. For a couple of days after the washing/styling .. I can style my hair temporarily (when need be) in a ponytail for an hour or 2, take it out of the ponytail style… run my fingers through my dry hair upside down, and no bend (from the elastic band) remains. I also use higher quality shampoo/conditioner that doesn’t have harsh ingredients. I’m not young anymore, but my hair still is … and this product adds to that being possible. ... show more

OMG! My hair has been so dry & brittle for months. I’ve tried so many different things. Olive oil, coconut oil, mayo, moisturizing shampoo & conditioners, mousse, leave in conditioners . One use & I have a visible difference. The warming was a bit surprising but worth it. My hair falls out of a pony tail holder and is so soft & shiny. I have used the Loreal Elvive 8 Second Wonder Water in the past and it is magic. It heats up in your hand and is amazing. You rinse off and it will make your hair very soft immediately. When I bought this I didn't realize it was the long hair version. The Original version instructions were to apply to whole head but this Long Hair version says to avoid getting it on your scalp: "After Elvive Dream Lengths shampoo, apply to wet hair, only to lengths, avoid the scalp. Massage for 8 seconds, then rinse. Follow with conditioner, then blow dry for optimal shine." I applied as directed to length but did not notice it warming. The ingredient list is not the same, I will paste both below. I did not notice the improvement with this version that I did with the original. I have fine hair that is easily weighed down, the original formula gave me silky hair without weight. This formula didn't weigh it down but it didn't make my hair silky like the original formula. Flyaways were visibly reduced with this long hair product, though. I don't think this is a bad product, it just wasn't the miracle formula of the original (darker bottle) version. When asked the difference between versions, the manufacturer posted " Hi there! Our Elvive 8 Second Wonder Water Lamellar rinse-out liquid treatment is 8 seconds to silkier, shinier, healthier looking hair. Visibly transforms hair from the 1st use. Our Dream Lengths 8 Second Wonder Water Lamellar Rinse-Out instantly transforms long damaged hair in 8 seconds. We hope you give one a try soon!" So I guess they don't know the difference either. I will say that it's worth trying the other one if you try one and you don't find it doing anything. I prefer the original but I know some people haven't liked it so maybe this formula is for them. I have been using L'Oreal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths 8 Second Wonder Water for a few months now, but noticed a difference right away. As someone with Frizzy and unruly hair, finding the right conditioner that tames my mane without weighing it down has always been a challenge. However, this product exceeded my expectations. The application is easy as I apply it in the shower after shampoo and conditioner has been rinsed out. As it says it is water that I just apply to the ends of my hair and let it sit for 8 seconds! The fragrance of the product is absolutely amazing! I gently rinse it out and I am good to go! there is no residue left behind. I let my hair dry naturally and my mane is silky and shiny.
