Let me tell you, I have the pink flat iron, curling iron in one and it does not work like this. What I love about this flat iron is the weight of it, it’s not heavy but you can tell it’s made with some good materials. The plates are even and very nice. Then heating mechanism is digital and heats up FAST! What’s not to love? The price for the size is great. I was looking at other flat irons and they were well over $150 for just a 1 inch! No thanks. It's a nice straightener that performs well, but has some drawbacks. 1) It's heavy. 2) It pinches my skin when I close it sometimes, if I hold it from the side with the on/off/heat button. If you're having trouble turning it off, you need to twist the heat dial both directions. Then you can hold the button down to turn it off without unplugging it. ... show more

Very nice straightener. I have thick hair and honestly have never heard of this brand till I got it. Apparently it’s a big name brand and my friends love theirs. It is definitely the nicest one I own. I love the matte black appearance, the wide plates, and the digital displays. It also has a way to lock the plates when not in use - perfect! The plates get HOT! The settings can be a little much to figure out without reading the manual, so adding that to my to do list, but other than that I would recommend. ... show more

The product seems pretty straightforward to use, but I had some issues. The straightener itself is very well made, and isn’t cheap feeling, and has a sleek, stylish design. The on/off button is touchscreen with a, has lcd display screen, and a turning dial to adjust the temperature. The straightener is simple to turn on, but I had issues turning it off, and had to to refer to the instructions in order to figure out how to turn it off. It says to hold down for about 5 seconds, but all it did was lock in the temp setting, and the only way to take it off lock was to play around with the dial, turning it in both directions until it unlocked, only then was I able to shut it off, but even that was a hit or miss. The best way to shut off is just to unplug it. It puts out a lot of heat, and it heats quickly. It straightened my hair nicely, but upon using it a second time the dial would only reach 230F, or at least that’s what the display showed, but it was piping hot, so I’m guessing the LCD screen malfunctioned, and was much hotter than 230F. This would be a great hair straightener if the button, dial, and screen worked properly. ... show more
