  • Excellent massage, versitle, controls well designed but not an arm chair and access is difficult
Color: Brown
Massage functions are well designed, calf and foot function - neck, calf, and back are excellent. Heat along back is adequate but not adjustable. The intensity of foot rollers, arms/hand and other areas was too strong even when set at lowest level but tech support led me thru the computer access settings to make possible an even lower level of adjustment which solved all but the soles of feet, hand. and butt pressure which need a cushion but the rest of the massage options are now within comfort level. It is not possible to stop the SL track lowest position at the butt, this being main complaint as it is just too uncomfortable -hopefully the cushion option will work. The automatic preprogramed massages also send the SL track down the but at way too hard a setting which can not be reduced via the computer as previously mentioned... If only they had a button to stop this as with the sole of foot rollers. In comparison to two Human Touch models one being the HT-9500 this is far superior in the massage and control areas but the lounge chair design of the HT was vg for everyday living. The arm and shoulder functions of the Kyota impede use as casual chair where a cup of coffee or book could be placed on the arm. The arm and shoulder functions are not worth that inconvenience. In addition, this chair is quite narrow at 5'8, 160 pounds I find it confining all due to the arm massage taking up the space and height that would allow uses mentioned. To accommodate use of a computer key board and drink a 20.5" x 12" platter with an inclined back 12" at a 35' angle was made and helped some. One main requirement for a chair was the material as the Human Touch started flaking apart after 2 yrs and was an eye sore in short order causing me to complain bitterly to Human Touch...they actually had the nerve to ask me how often I sat in the chair!!!!!! The faux and bonded leather of the two HT models just fell apart. The Kyota is reportedly made of same material as automobile seating (average I would assume) but still able to last an expected long time with care. The controller has basic chair position, heat, arrow button functions with access to a computer screen selection for the massage functions. Scrolling and selection are easy and intuitive. Sole of the foot rollers can be stopped with a one button operation - as stated they are way too strong as are hand pressure which can not be stopped so withdrawal of the hand is needed. This is not a chair for the elderly due to the difficulty in entry and exit. The foot mechanism does not withdraw into and under the chair but remains extended requiring one to back up, reach backwards for the arm rest, set on the middle of the foot rest - balance while sliding into the seat (not good) and getting out is just as difficult and easy to slip on a wooden floor. The stretching feature is poor as the ankles are not grabbed while the back is arched as in the first and lowest price HT chair i owned (the HT 9500 was the second but had a poor stretch as well). A stretch is barely felt and tantalizing because it feels like the right movement is being made but stops way before any benefit is realized. The chair feels cramped due to the shoulder and arm rests design - one day after warranty I may pry these areas open and just do away with them completely....without the raised height of the arm massage it would be perfect. Finally, I would that it had a simple gentle vib feature. Have not fully explored all the programed massages. ... show more

  • still working no problem
Color: Brown
It still works. i've been using it almost every day i've had it, and moved it across the country. one of the better purchases i've made. the massage could have more options, there could be better movements, but i couldn't be happier with my purchase.

  • Not as expected
Color: Brown
This chair was purchased to help my husband with neck and back issues. The rollers were so hard that he was in pain for two days the same with the foot massage add on. Customer Service slow response

  • Relief!
Color: Brown
I am a 100% service connected permanent and totally disabled veteran. I have had 6 back surgeries and my back is in constant severe pain. My wife ordered this chair and it has been AMAZING. Easy to use, easy to assemble, and probably one of the best purchases we have made from Amazon!

  • Nice chair but not for me
Color: Brown
The chair was well made and would have been excellent but for the mistake in the specifications. My husband is 255 and 6"1. He should have fit into the chair but his shoulders were wider than the chair. The design of the chair and the features make it necessary to fit into it perfectly. My only other comment is that the leg extension does not retract making it difficult to get into if you have any leg problems. When we called the company they said he would not fit into the chair and were very gracious when we asked for a refund. It was picked up after at no cost and we were refunded our money. We couldn't ask for a nicer customer service department. ... show more
