I have a smart connected light stripe I bought when they were first hitting the market. I got 6 feet for $32.00. Granted, the other one had a rubber portion that protected the LED side. This one is bare, so you want to handle it with care. But there is no denying you get a ton of length. I put them up in my garage along some steel beams. They were freshly painted, so an ideal surface for the adhesive. They stuck well and seems like they’re going to stay put. These aren’t a full 100-foot stripe. Two 50-foot stripes come out of the control box. So, you might have a doubled-up section going up the wall a bit like it did. Making not very pleasing to the eye. Maybe it is just that I’m using it on a high ceiling. But I wish they got a little brighter. But I suspect in a home setting the brightness would be fine. The remote is fine and works from a far distance. I didn’t use the Bluetooth function. I think it would be much more useful if it was Wi-Fi enabled, opening up integration with smart assistants. Likewise, I suspect the Bluetooth might not connect fast. Making it a pain to quickly change settings. I would rather the feature dropped altogether and further drop the cost. Overall, most downsides of this item are easily forgiven. When take into consideration the sheer amount of length you get. 4 out of 5 ... show more

The adhesion is actually really good, better than most LED light strips I've used; they were very easy to install. They are pretty bright, especially if you install them in a small space like i did. you can adjust brightness they would be les bright if installed over a long area. the LEDs are pretty spaced out. Be careful not to break the lines at the solder points - there is a solder point every few feet and this is a week spot in the strip, otherwise the lines seem pretty durable. Going around tight corners is not supper difficult, but the lines do not make 90 degree turns super cleanly, but they can be manipulated better than i expected thanks to the good adhesion. The remote they come with is kind of garbage, the color representation is not good ("purple" is actually blue, "red" is closer to orange). But this doesn't mater too much because once you install the app, you can use your phone as a remote. the app has a lot more features (a whole color wheel) and it way more useful than the remote. This is 2 fifty foot LED strips, but be warned you cannot string them end to end - the plug/controller must go in the middle, so be ready to plan around that.     • Inexpensive ways to add some color to any room
I bought these primarily for adding some flexible lighting accent options to my house. The product was shipped quickly and came well packaged. It was generally very easy to setup though the app does require some trial and error to get a feel for the settings (i.e. speed, colors, etc). You will likely want some supplemental materials for attaching the lights to you desired surface as the included materials are very basic. You will also want to be careful connecting the light strips to the controller since the 4 pins are very thin. The lights themselves are very bright and the colors are vibrant and very true to life. The two 50 foot strips can be used together or if you have a smaller space you can use just one strip. Bottom line, this is great for small to medium rooms, adding backlighting around your TV, and would be perfect for holidays. Other great uses would be dorm rooms, bedrooms, as under-cabinet lighting, or anywhere you want to personalize a space or even just add some light. ... show more

I like the fact that the power supply is in the middle of this 100 for run. It worked out perfectly for my application. The last color choice made is retained when power is shut off. When plugged into a WiFi addressable plug it can go on and off on a schedule or use Alexa. The remote works great if you want to change the colors. ... show more
