Easy to program. Intuitive. It arrives with 6 small metal mesh trays. They appeared too small to be of much use and I was afraid food would stick to them making them difficult to clean. Initially, I made pork jerky. The trays held almost 3 pounds of thinly sliced jerky. The jerky did not stick despite having brown sugar in the marinade. Lots of air flows through the trays. With most dehydrators rotating the trays often is a must. It really is not necessary with this one. Airflow and heat seem to be fairly even and reach all six trays. I used silicone coated tongs to move the hot trays in and out of the dehydrator. I could not get a grip with potholders. The trays also go in the dishwasher for easy clean up. That is a first. Most dehydrators have plastic trays that cannot go into the dishwasher. I tried it once years ago. The plastic trays warped from the dishwasher’s heat. The trays to this dehydrator just emerge from the dishwasher clean and ready to go. Being able to put the trays in the dishwasher is a big improvement. Love the ability to regulate the heat. Makes dehydrating food much safer than drying it out at around 100 degrees F. like my old dehydrators do. I started dehydrating food when I traveled on business. I have been stuck in too many airports overnight. It was awful each and every time, but at least I had food. Stuck on the runway for hours on end? American Airlines left me stuck sitting there with no food or water for 9 hours once. Dehydrating my own snacks/meals was the only way I knew to make sure I had healthy food, and sometimes just food period. I love dehydrated pork jerky. I have never seen it available commercially, but it is delicious make from a pork loin. Apple slices are another favorite in my home. I would spend hours dehydrating strawberries only to find out that they were always eaten before I had a chance to take them with me. My daughter and her friends loved them. The dog loves her oatmeal and pumpkin snacks. The dog and I both love the dehydrated chicken strips. Hers have no salt or spices. Mine have salt and lot of spices. (Be sure to precook and chill the chicken prior to dehydrating. You do not want to risk salmonella.) It comes with its own cookbook with lots of hints and suggestions. Enjoy! This is a fabulous dehydrator. I am quite impressed with it.

Of all the means people have used throughout history to preserve food, dehydration is one of the oldest and most versatile. I love the taste of dehydrated foods, from dried fish and meats to dried fruits, and have checked many home dehydrators but none satisfied me until we received our KWASYO Food Dehydrator Machine. Unlike most others, which use many plastic parts including the trays, the KWASYO uses stainless steel virtually everywhere food might touch. The trays themselves are sturdy stainless mesh in stainless frames, the slides which hold the trays are stainless, and the entire interior of the appliance, including the inside of the door, is bright and easy-to-clean stainless steel. The controls are very simple to figure out and operate (I used the dehydrator successfully without having to consult the manual) and the display is sharp, bright, and easy to read, even from across the room. One very nice tough is the bright interior light, which can be turned on during loading, unloading, and even in operation to check the progress of your drying food. The temperature can be set to Fahrenheit or Celsius and set to a wide range of drying temperatures to match the food being dehydrated. The timer can be set from zero to 24 hours so the appliance can be run without constant attention. I was very pleased to find the KWASYO Food Dehydrator Machine uses a detachable IED-type power cord (like office machines, etc.). Included with the appliance is a fairly extensive cookbook with dozens of recipes for yogurt, fruit leathers, pet treats, and a wide variety of fruits and meats. My wife and I will be preparing a lot of travel foods in our KWASYO Food Dehydrator Machine, as well as preserving foods for later use. We love this appliance.

Impressive little dehydrator! I own an Excalibar so of course I compare every dehydrator to it. This has a much smaller footprint than my nine tray Excalibar does. I love the stainless steel color and it looks higher quality than the all plastic Excalibur‘s. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the airflow was similar to the Excalibar and didn’t just come from below. It did a comparable job of dehydrating. And it’s a whole lot cheaper! I found it to be a good value.

So far, we have only used the dehydrator for drying apples. It was a good Fall for apples. We've done 3 batches, and they all turned out great. We use a mandoline slicer to cut them, peel and all, into 1/4 inch slices. After soaking the slices in lemon water, we then use a small, plastic melon baller to trim away the core on the slices. It take 7 or 8 good sized apples to fill all six trays. Set the timer for 6 hours and 30 minutes (the included cook book suggests 6 to 8) and 65℃ (also as suggested). The time and temp are easy to set and the touch of a button changes from ℃ to ℉. The included cookbook uses all ℃ so we just went with that. It's nice too, that when you turn on the unit, it remembers the last settings used and starts running right away. It heats up quickly. The fan runs constantly but the heating element cycles on and off to maintain the temperature. The cookbook is great. Though it seems to be translated directly from an Asian language, it has limited words and is easy to figure out. There are directions for drying 67 different items divided into 7 categories: Fruit, Baby Solid Food, Pet Treats, Scented Tea, Vegetable, Meat, and Snack. Each recipe takes 1 page and includes 4 to 8 color photos. They include: cherry tomatoes, peaches, pineapple, mango, blueberry, egg melts, fish skin, chicken breast, Honeysuckle, okra, radish, black fungus, sea fish, shrimp, and yogurt.

This is a nice Dehydrator. It feels well made and being able to set the temp so precise makes it easy for anyone to use. We use it to make jerky ,peppered teriyaki is our favorite. This is a lot better then our old round tray type dehydrator that we never liked and rarely used because of the results. Give this a try and it will make you a Jerky Master Too.
