It's a simple device. Like an A-B switch. Except this switch has rare glitches. It is made very well but it's not quite perfect. I've been working with Customer Service and have finally come to a solution that works for both of us. PROS: - I like the GREEN indicator for one side, or press button and toggles to BLUE. - Also, it has a nice touch button, good size, and confirmed presses as it makes a clicking noise when you press it (as if the color change wasn't enough). - It comes with pretty much everything you need for cables, assuming you had a work computer system already (existing cables for monitors, mouse, keyboards, etc.) - Only wish the common HDMI output to the monitor was on the backside... (but that's for aesthetics). - low profile. Only 1 tier level of plug ins, and the height is only 18cm (body). The button adds a couple more millimeters. (see pic... you'll notice there's plenty of clearance in my situation, to press the button with the switch under the monitor) CONS: The switching will freeze on rare occassion. 1) The color switching/toggling just stops. In other words, the switching fails. No going back or forth. (OR) 2) The mouse and/or keyboard just won't transmit their information through. They are still powered on (mouse still has RF connection, and the LED keyboard (wired) is still getting the power light on. This will occur when trying to switch, but instead of switching, one of the devices just fails working. 3) (as mentioned earlier... which is a preference) the HDMI cable output to the 1 monitor comes out from the front of the box. That's just for easier cable management, but not a major one (see my pic... the center cable coming out the front, which I duct tape the cable down, but it's actually in the dark. The camera boosted the brightness so it's really darker then it is. The other cable coming out the front on the left side is my keyboard, so it is pointing in the correct direction... which is toward me, and my keyboard). To reset this switch to work again, I have to disconnect all the computer side cables (USB and HDMI from video cards), to remove power to this switch. Then it's a power reboot when I plug in. Then the switch will work again. UPDATE: 7/29/2022 So I've been in contact with Customer Support and they are great. That's very helpful and makes knowing that they are improving and trying to be a great company. They are willing to replace the KVM switch, but unfortunately, I've moved overseas and can't get the item shipped to me. On another weird note, it finally started working for a few consecutive days now. I know I probably jinxed myself, but I do like this switch (when it works!), so glad to see that maybe a reboot of it made the correct adjustment to whatever the problem might be. UPDATE: 8/2/2022 So after working with Customer Service (which has been top notch, and that makes a lot of difference), they are making an update. I still recommend this product. Get it now. If you have some issues, then work with Customer Service, or wait for the next model (coming soon). It's worth it. And for this price (even without any discounts), this is a great deal for a KVM kit. (Kit - meaning, it comes with the USB cables and HDMI cables that you would need to fix up your switching needs. Also, cables are long enough if your PCs/Macs are in the same desk area (1 meter length cables.) And it's still working good... so maybe my issue is gone? TBD, as I've only been using it 2-3 times a day. ... show more

    • Works Well Enough
The little thing works well enough although I have a few minor nitpicks after using it for a while. 1) Cord management is definitely a hassle having to plug things in on both sides. If I were to buy another similar product, I'd shell out the extra money to get all of the cords on one side. 2) The first few times I used it I had to press the switch a few times before it recognized the mouse and keyboard. No issues with the monitor going back and forth 3) It doesn't take much effort to push the button, by which I mean if I held the button too long it just immediately switches back to whichever device I was originally on.     • Does the job, but not without quirks

I use this to switch between two MacBook Pros sharing a Das keyboard, a QHD Dell monitor, and a USB hub with various other devices. The previous KVM switch I had would sometimes fail to connect the monitor or keyboard to the downstream computer (whether a flaw in the device or some issue with MacOS connectivity protocols I never did pin down), whereas I haven't had any major problems with this device. Compared to my previous KVM, which was a hulking beast of a box, this unit is light and compact. And the price is right. The only issue i have is that the minimal design of the product means that the input and output cables sprawl in all directions. if I could hide the unit under my desk, this wouldn't be such a big deal, but there is no remote switch or hot key, so the main KVM unit has to be accessible. It's not a good look. I might be able to condense the footprint a bit with some 90-degree connectors, but only by so much. If the vendor were to add some kind of remote switching feature, either hardware or software, this would be a great product. But for now it's only decent. [update: the vendor reached out to me, offered to refund the cost of the device. They didn't have to do that, my only concerns were design-related, not quality issue, and the device works as expected. Adding another star for that kind of customer service] ... show more

    • Great KVM switch at a great price
I use this KVM switch to switch between my gaming PC and my work laptop that share a monitor. I've had it for almost a year and a half and it has worked well until now. It screen started to glitch and sometimes lose the connection for a few seconds before it comes back. I contacted ABLEWE customer service and they were very responsive and were willing to replace it or send a refund so I couldn't ask for more from them. It is a solid device and it's good to know that if something goes wrong they will take care of you. ... show more

Update to my original review Shortly after posting my review of this product, I received email from the seller who wanted to make things right for me. I appreciated the prompt response from the seller. I now have a new KVM Switch in hand that the seller had quickly sent out to me as a replacement for the original device that had stopped working. This identical replacement device continues to work and function as expected. Greate customer service! Original Review Switch stopped working after 3 days of use. Only the green side is working, can no longer switch to the blue side. I can move my blue-side cables to the green-side and they work, so I know this is not a cable or pc problem. ... show more

    • Easy Set-up
Was up and running in 10 minutes. Plugged my PC & Laptop to the KVM then monitor. The switch button LED light came on and everything was working like described. I did not use the USB ports as I have a wireless keyboard and mouse. Was a bit concerned that the resolution from the laptop would be an issue as my laptop has a 15" screen and my monitor is a 32" curved. Not the case as I'm playing Assassins Creed Valhalla from the laptop and is just great. I'm running Win 10 on the PC and Win 11 on my laptop. No issues there either. ... show more
