This futon is amazing! I was in a car accident and my Chiropractor recommended I sleep on the floor to help my neck, back and shoulders. This futon is so comfortable.     • Cozy, cost and space efficient bed
I didn't want to invest in a traditional western-style bed because of cost. The risk of making a high price investment in a bed that could potentially wreck my spine, and be a hassle to return was of no interest to me. I was also hoping to minimize the space it would occupy. The kuya bed drew me with the potential of saving space, money, providing the right level of coziness whilst allowing the firmness of the floor beneath to support me. It delivered on all three, and i can conveniently fold it and tuck it away somewhere if needed. I love this bed. Extra points for the super soft sheet that was included with my order. Awesome product! I love my Kuya Shikibuton (as they are called in Japan). It is exceptionally comfortable and the materials feel very high quality. The included fitted sheet is great. It fits the futon perfectly and there is no excess material. The sheet provides a wonderful sleeping experience. I let my futon air out for about 48 hours when it was received. It comes in a vacuum sealed bag and can take a bit of time to fully expand. It quickly expanded to full size and I was impressed by the comfortability and expansion of the cushion. I have tried brands like Fuli and Minna in the past. Kuya provides a lot more value with the included sheet and storage bag and I believe this futon is substantially more comfortable. I also like that Kuya is a US based business. All the instructions are perfectly clear. Overall a wonderful experience and product. I use my Kuya futon to sleep on the floor and it has worked wonders for my back. I also take it with me camping or use it for guests if I have people stay with me. They love it too!! ... show more

I purchased this based on a friend's recommendation and I'm glad we did. We originally thought to use this for when we don't have enough beds for friends, but we ended up needing it when our daughter wanted us nearby aka sleeping next to her as she transitioned to her own bed/sleep space. My wife and I have been pleasantly surprised at how supportive/comfortable this is. It can fold up and slide under/into most spaces or get rolled up to put away. It doesn't compress a ton but you can use a vacuum bag to shrink the footprint if you really want. In my case it came in one and I could re-use that if I wanted. It's a great item for sleepovers or one too many guest scenarios. It could also be used for camping assuming you have the space to haul this alongside your tent. We're glad we purchased this and would recommend it for anyone else who's trying to transition their kid to their own bed, sleepovers or even camping. ... show more
