These are best suited, in my opinion, for stowing large, light items (toys, dry goods, pet supplies, etc.), but they do have integrated handles plus a pull-out handle so you can easily wheel them about if need be. While semi-sturdy, the cloth lids seem to be hastily engineered afterthought. I haven't tried it, but you can probably stack the boxes if you leave the casters off, but I wouldn't go more than two high. Boxes require a little assembly, but only no more than five minutes per box. Simply unfold the one-piece box structure, push the metal floor into the box, fasten the lids with the included Velcro, pop in the casters (if desired), and that's it. Frankly, I think they're overpriced for what they are (82.99 USD for the two-box set at time of review), and this is the main reason I've deducted one star. If you can, put them on a wish-list or alert and wait for the price to drop. That being said, if you can live with the somewhat flimsy lids, I think you'll find the box itself suitable for whatever purpose you intend. ... show more

I've been looking for a storage container for pet toys and all I've seen are deep baskets or little canvas holders. This is a set of two big metal mesh boxes with rolling casters, hand holds and even a fold-down handle on one side. I dumped in two sets of toys in a box with room to spare. Best of all, it looks very sleek and attractive in my living room. Assembly was very simple; the only hiccup was one of boxes had a twisted bottom hook that made it difficult to snap the base into. The double lids are covered in a sturdy grey fabric with a top flap that gives it a clean, finished look. Since they are attached by velcro, you can just leave them off to have an open box or just keep them flipped back for pet access. However, you cannot put any pressure on top of the lids because they will collapse (as my 10-mo old grand daughter, who is beginning to pull herself up on everything just learned). I ended up giving the other box to my daughter, who liked its looks as well, and needs extra storage. Highly recommend! ... show more

I have had similar items before... of this metal box structure with the bottom inserts. I like that! However, the tops for these are just... eh... not great. They strap-in via slots in the framed boxes using Velcro straps. That's fine... BUT, they fit irregularly and just don't secure the whole package nor do they positively shut. I sort of hoped for better with these. ... show more

I do appreciate that they’re heavy duty and made of metal. Most things on Amazon are made as cheaply as possible and usually lightweight. These are heavy metal. They are a good, large size. However, I don’t really love the overall design to be honest. They do work. But I don’t love how the lids are just held on by velcro, and that the bottoms just sit on top and can be pushed up easily if you don’t have something heavy inside sitting on top of it. This might not make sense until you actually have them in front of you. Overall, they’re good and will get the job done, but the design could be better. ... show more
