I have a 2016 Harley Road Glide CVO and installed this cover to add some additional chrome. I know that Kuryakyn products can be a bit pricey, but worth it. Not only was the installation a breeze, but it comes with instructions, all mounting hardware and it looks great! I have purchase other chrome pieces from China to see what the quality is like, and it is hit or miss. Sometimes its great but other times, the finish is not as good (you can see some machine marks where the metal was not perfectly smooth under the chrome). Sometimes, they dont come with all of the mounting hardware and almost all of the time, they dont come with instructions. So I pay the extra money for ensured quality, and knowing that I wont be banging my head against the wall trying to find hardware and guessing at installation instructions. First time installing this cover on my 2001 HD dresser, would have given a 5 star, but noticed a slight twist in the cover where the back of the cover was secured flush, the front was raised 1/4 " at one end. Pressing down the front when installing the last bolt was not a big deal. There's a small gap between the cover and case once installed, as mentioned by other reviews, but a little grinding of the small "L" brackets and making a larger hole in the bracket lowered the overall gap between the cover and base. We'll see how long the crome will last. Tip - trim tthe plastic wrap leaving the top of the cover protected during instal to protect it from scratches. ... show more

Problem. Screws that hold in the L brackets have had the lock tight lubricant on to long and would not let the screw seat well so it sticks up. Screw finally broke trying to get it to seat right. I even tried to take the lock tight off and failed. But thanks for Amzn. return policy, got my full refund. ... show more

Easy install, (as long as you don’t have the mid engine deflectors). I tried for about 5 minutes to twist and angle the piece but it would not drop into place until I removed the wind deflector. The instructions indicate the correct torque when tightening the included screws.

This is a very nice addition for anybody who wants to dress up there bike and not have to spend a boat load of money to do it. It is made really well ( all metal ) and has a heavy chrome on it , I put this on my 02 ultra and it was a snap all the hardware came with it , pretty easy to follow instructions but I would do a dry fit first there are some adjustments to be made, after I got it adjusted and bolted on it looks like its all part of the chrome outer primary cover. My riding buds liked it so much 2 have already ordered theirs.BIG HINT- when replacing the bolts get some blue loctite and put on the threads after you clean any oil from the bolts and holes they are thread-locked from the factory for a reason . ... show more

Works great. Fitment was tricky for one bolt - it wouldn't go cleanly through the cover into the inner primary threading. Just had to loosen one of the other bolts to be able to flex the cover. The finishing caps are a nice touch but only came with enough for the cover. Looked odd with 4 bolts capped and not the rest of my primary bolts. Just bought a chrome bolt set and kept them all exposed for a more uniform look. ... show more
