These lights are awesome! I love the flickering effect, it really looks like a flame from a distance. They're pretty dim but make great path lights for my campsite. One light stopped working after just a few days, but the others have held on. My only real complaint is that they're made of pretty cheap plastic. They still look great, they just aren't very durable. The stems/poles are pretty puny. If they were made of metal, I'd buy a second pack because they really are neat. ... show more

    • A use that you might find surprising

These fire lights are beautiful and look great. Here's the surprising use I have discovered. I live on what is called the Urban Wildland Interface. The forest is all around and so are the deer. I have lots of perennials that bloom spring through fall. As soon as the Day Lilies bloom, the deer are right there each night to eat the blooms. I have controlled this somewhat through the use of Liquid Fence. Recently, I read a review on Amazon where the poster said the deer stopped eating his flowers once he install Fire Lights. After using these for two months, with no use of the deer spray, I can attest that the lights are working the same way for me. If you have deer eating you blooms, get these lights for the beauty and a beautiful yard. As a side note, they do nothing to stop Racoons but that's a post I'll do soon on how I've (mostly) solved that problem. ... show more
