I really like these lights, and they way that they appear to be a flickering light inside. They add ambience to the patio, but they cannot be the only light. I recommend adding LED stringed lights along with them. Also, these were not as big as I expected. The picture looks like they are larger than they actually are. I am going to buy larger additional torch lights to enhance the overall effects of the patio. I highly recommend the lights for the correct area. I suggest that you order the more larger lights for a better effect overall, and possibly more than one box. They were 8 small lights in the order. I have received many compliments and actually saw that they were used in a local High School play of Beauty and the Beast, as torches for the townspeople. I definitely recommend them, and will certainly buy again. Make sure that when you put them together, you turn on the switches and test the lights before placing them into the ground.

These are truly beautiful. However, the only issue I had is it all being plastic and not some kind of metal. Since there tends to be lots of rocks in certain areas around my home, I had a hard time getting these in the ground. I finally figured out a way to do it pretty quickly and somewhat easily. I actually hammered a very long screwdriver into the ground to start a hole. Then, I was able to lightly tap the pole into the ground with the hammer but would suggest trying a mallet instead since the plastic bends and breaks if you aren’t careful. With mine, I did not use the pointed stake part for each because it made them too tall, and I couldn’t get them far enough down in the ground. Other than this, I would highly recommend these beautiful solar lights! I actually plan to order another set to add a little more to the front area of my house.

They are made with very weak and cheap plastic. They were not very expensive so this is to be expected. If you have kids spend extra for a more durable option. Out of the 12 pack we have maybe 6 left. Kids broke them within a month. Beyond that, they look amazing! So amazing that after we bought this set our neighbors got similar lights lol. I would totally buy again. If I didn't have kids lol.

I read that deer are frightened off by the sight of flickering lights that simulate fire, so I ordered these to try a last-ditch effort to save my plants. Finally, something that works! I installed them around the flower beds, one every three feet. They still ate the lilies where I didn't install a light, but let the rest alone. Try these!
