After using crimp-style butt connectors for many years, I decided to give these a try. I am impressed! They are incredibly easy to use, and worked perfectly the first time. I have a small heat gun that I bought for use with surface mount devices on circuit boards, and it really does the job with these connectors. You just slide a connector over one of the wires, strip the ends of the two wires to be joined, bend the stripped ends into hooks and twist them together, slide the connector over the joint and apply heat. The solder quickly melted, and the tubing shrank down over the wires while the sealer also melted, sealing the joint. Quick, easy and permanent. Highly recommended! ... show more

These are incredible. I have used these now for multiple applications, from a car to sprinkler wires to vending machines. Just carry a heat gun and short extension cord for most places and you're set. You do strip the wires farther than you usually would with a crimp. The only thing I will say somewhat as a warning is that they work way better with stranded wire than solid wire. I have had a couple instances where solid wire pokes a hole in the coupler and I have to start over. Other than that, these are easy to use, guarantee a solid connection, go waterproof, and make it so that the connection isn't a massive piece of plastic that you will be able to see even under shrinkwrap. If you cover the wire with shrinkwrap afterwards, you won't even notice that there is a splice in the wire ... show more

I THINK THESE WORK PRETTY WELL. YOU HAVE TO BE VERY SPECIFIC WITH THEM. I AM NOT SURE HOW MUCH THE SOLDER MELTS WITH A HEAT GUN. SLIDE THE UNIT ON WIRE**TWIST THE WIRES TOGETHER**SLIDE THE UNIT ON THE WIRE AND HEAT THE HECK OUT OF IT**AND OH I FORGOT YOU NEED TO PUT SHRINK TUBING ON AT THE BEGINNING SLIDE IT UP ON THE CONNECTION AND SHRINK THE HECK OUT OF IT. Excellent wire harness repair. All in one saves time. What I like most about these is the spar they save. As a master automotive technician I find I’m repairing harnesses and getting rid of that bulk is the best feature. These are durable and work great when directions are followed.     • Kuject 120PCS Solder Seal Wire Connectors - never knew I needed them

I bought these after trying to rewire a trailer- replacing all of the lights. I started and got about halfway through and got sick of soldering and then using heat shrink tubes etc to join wires. I saw this product as my brother had a kit of these and it literally takes 20 seconds to not only connect wires but also watertight seal them. So far so good and my trailer is working like a charm. The first half of the trailer took me 1.5 hours, and then second half took around 15 minutes- it makes it so simple. I also installed a new car stereo in my daughter's vehicle and these were versatile enough that I could find connectors that were much smaller than what I used on the trailer wiring. I was able to join many different wires in minutes, and I am confident that it will stay joined better than the twist connectors I always used previously. You can either use these with a heatgun or a targeted lighted- but basically you have to get it hot enough to melt the solder in the middle of the connector- when that melts it creates a seal, and then the outer plastic tub shrinks to create a nice seal (also cosmetically pleasing- much more than the twist connectors.) I have seriouslly loved having these around and plan to use them consistently on my audio projects or low voltage projects in the future! ... show more

Bought to repair splices on my boat, do not see how I have lived without these in my life! My recently purchased used boat has taped together wire splices all over the place that are corroding from exposure to moisture due to only being twisted & taped. Every one I find gets repaired with one of these connectors, and will not corrode again since they are now soldered & sealed from moisture. Do yourself a favor & get a mini heat gun with the heat shield for these, makes the installation super simple & quick. And the heat shield protects other wires behind the repair from a lighter flame... :-) ... show more
