We’re retirement age and didn’t want to lift heavy ebikes onto our rack. The ramp takes seconds to install. One person can do this , you don’t need help. The first time may be a little awkward but it’s just a matter of going slow up the ramp and across the beam then securing the bike. Make sure that you take the battery off first. If a bike falls very hard with an installed battery there is a risk of the battery going into suiside mode which kills the battery. I know that Bosch ebike battery’s are designed this way. It’s a safety feature. Other brands I don’t know but you don’t want to damage your very expensive battery. ……The ramp comes with two adapters that you will need to install first that fit near the end of each beam of your rack. Takes just a few minutes to install both of them . You never need to take the adapters on or off again. The adapter is what the ramp attaches to. This ramp and adapters will only work on the Kuat NV2 and NV2 base racks. This is what I’ve been told. The ramp is rated for up to 60 pounds . The rack is rated for 60 pounds also if it’s the 2 bike unit. Some ebikes are over 60 pounds, just another reason to remove the battery first to lower the weight…. The ramp works great ,easy to use, very strong and should last as long as your rack.Hope this is helpful.

Ramp telescopes for easy use and retracts for easy storage in the trunk, etc. Ramp also has a deeper rut to keep the tires on the ramp. A life-changer for a 50-lb. bike!

I bought a used, or returned bicycle ramp for a Kuat bike rack. There was a small amount of worn paint on one end, but nothing that would affect the ramps use. The only problem was a missing bolt and knob. My choices were to return the rack or pick up a new bolt and knob. As I already had a knob in my parts bin I just needed a new bolt for $0.89. Ramp works great now and saved some money. Would have been 5 stars without the missing bolt.

Great ramp. Easy to attach and the ability to wheel the bike up was simple. The weight of an e bike was supported well by the ramp. However, when I was taking the bike off, the ramp fell off. It may be user error, but would make sure you look at how snugly it is clipped in so that you won't have the same problem. The ramp itself is very sturdy and heavy. Not too heavy to lift, but the heft definitely makes the ramp sturdy enough to use with heavier bikes. It was purchased to work with the Kuat Base bike rack.

This makes it much easier to load your E-bikes onto your Kuat rack. A little pricey for what it is, but is solid, attaches securely and easy to install. Just don't forget to remove it after loading your bikes and drive off. I speak from experience. I guess that's also a testament to how solid the ramp is.

The ramp did not meet my expectations. The first e-bike can be pushed up the ramp, but there can not be a vehicle parked in the adjoining space. The first photo illustrates the problem. The second e-bike cannot be loaded, unless you tip the bike at about 45 degrees to clear the interference between the two handlebars. The second photo shows the interference. Also, the ramp buckled, as shown in the third photo. The left side of the ramp is deformed. The product packaging included the necessary special tool to install the end plates for hanging the ramp. There is no provision to roll the front wheel into the wheel well of the bike rack. Running an e-bike up the ramp and into the wheel well is a challenge, and it does not always go well.

Excellent product. My only complaint is that my bike is longer than most and it sits right on top of the ramp after I roll it on up the ramp. Easy solution is to not hook the top of the ramp into their slots. Other than that it is awesome. Too bad they (Kuat) did not incorporate a way for the rack to snap it into the NV 2.0 frame. It was poorly packaged as well and the box was damaged with part of the ramp sticking out one side of the shipping box. Hence 4/5. I would buy it again as it is a back saver.
