I ordered this bass because it’s the cheapest full scale I could find on Amazon. And for the price, it’s unbeatable. At this price range really all anyone should care about it proper routing on the body and neck so it stays and plays in tune, and major functional defects. This bass is perfectly assembled out of the box, and the finish and hardware look great. For under $100, this is way more than anyone could ask for in today’s market. My only issue is the action being way too high out of the box. It’s still playable, but uncomfortable with the high action. Another huge plus, is this bass was perfectly intonated out of the box. I feel like this is a major win for beginners who don’t necessarily know how to set up an instrument. All in all, I bought this thing for my friends who play bass so they could jam with me on guitar when they come over. And it does this job perfectly.

This bass is really nice looking, the build quality is very good. The setup was pretty close & was playable right out of the box. I had to tweak the truss rod and dial in the intonation, but the adjustments were minor. Pretty good usable tones from decent pickups. Well worth the 50 bucks I paid. Get one.

I am primarily a guitar/piano player, but sometimes when I'm making multitrack recordings, I need a simple bass guitar to do bass parts. This bass guitar certainly meets my needs. Super comfortable to play, and it has a pretty solid build. The guitar's neck is actually REALLY long (maybe that's common for bass guitars?). It takes some getting used to, but I wouldn't call that a negative. The frets feel nice to slide your hand across while playing (no sharp edges digging into your fingers), and the pickup works pretty well too. All I did was tune the guitar and plug it in. If you just need a basic bass guitar for multitrack recordings, it's an awesome deal for the price ($89).

You could not build this bass for this price with a woodshop full of tools. I've bought cheap guitars in the past and the fretboard always needs work. This neck and fretboard are flawless. You obviously need to buy better strings. I always buy DR. I got inspired by the black and white look and got DR Black Beauties and customized the bass with some Cricut vinyl. The chrome knobs that came with this bass were better quality than the replacement chrome ones I bought for my Gretsch hollow body guitar last year. I move those to it and found the black plastic ones that came with the Gretsch to put on here. I love the way this bass looks, feels, and plays. I hadn't played bass in 25 years, and now I'm playing every day. Buy this bass for practically nothing and spend your money on good strings, a great amp like my Hartke, a good cable, and a nice strap. I wouldn't recommend the full-size bass for a beginner. Get a smaller scale to learn songs and enjoy playing, then get a full-size bass.

Overall, reasonably well-made for the price. But the tuning pegs don't hold their position well, resulting in a CONSTANT need to re-tune the strings. I gave this bass to my goddaughter, which she loved. I got an email: "Should I have to tune this every 10 minutes or so?" The answer is NO, she shouldn't have to.

I'll call it a "fortunate mistake", but at least it happened in my favor. What I ordered was the Ktaxon 4-string bass patterned after a well-known Ibanez bass and I chose "sunset" as the color as it was $10.00 less than any of the other colors I looked at, at least it was at the time I ordered it. What I received was a white Glarry-branded bass of the same model, and the white one was the one I would have ordered had it been the same price. The bass needed only minor adjustments (done by me) to make it very playable, although it played well right out of the box. That the bass is made by Glarry isn't a surprise, I suspected as much after reading several reviews. My experience removed any doubts I might have had, and playing it removed any doubts I might have had as to the quality of the bass. I love it and I think you will, too. The fretwork on mine is wonderful and the finish is flawless. The basswood body is very light and resonates nicely, and I play the bass on my lap and haven't experienced any terrible "neck dive" some people have mentioned. It plays well when used with a strap, too. That companies in Asia can produce guitars of this build quality, at the prices they charge, is amazing to me. I'm happy with my purchase and would definitely buy from Glarry/Ktaxon again.
