Got this for my niece because I want instruments to be a part of their lives. This is a great keyboard for a kid as it is easy to use and easy to read everything. It is sturdy enough for children which is big because we know how rough they are on things.

Perfect for a 4-year-old; fun to play and the microphone is powerful and easy to use. Small size makes it very portable. Volume control does not extend to the microphone, which is loud. Different sounds and added sample songs will increase its usability over time; anticipate it being fun and easy to play as the child grows.

We just got this keyboard as an intro to piano for our 6 year old and it seems to be a great bang for your buck (we can't attest to durability quite yet). He's loving the features - 8 tones, 8 rhythms, drum and animal sounds, really fun for him (and his 4 year old sisters)!! It didn't come with a manual but it's very intuitive and user-friendly to figure it out, no worries. It doesn't come with a plug, but nowadays we all have them for our phones and tablets, it's 5V so works with any you have laying around the house. My only negative is that the cord it comes with is too short to be practical. So, you pretty much have to use 3 AA batteries. But, for a young child, wireless is much better anyway. It's only 3 octives, but this means it's lightweight and compact, great for easy storage in the closet or even bringing in the car on road trips! We're quite pleased - great bang for buck!

It looks like a nice beginner option for a young child keyboard - but more than half the keys didn't work - will make a short grating sounds instead of playing a note. The volume key didn't work, none of the tone or option keys worked either. It also arrived with no instructions - so i had to look up youtube videos just to make sure we are not somehow missing something about how to properly operate it...

Keys are cheap plastic and the sound is pretty poor. You get what you pay for.

My baby girl is so happy with this. She loves a piano so I figured I would start off with this to let her understand more. she just loves the music it plays and the fact she can record herself singing. So, if she's happy I'm happy.
