I gave it a 4 star because it’s not reflective enough. What I love about this collar is that it’s so tough and durable. The material is thick which is good. The only thing about that is that it makes it hard to adjust which I don’t mind much because it makes it harder for my dog to loosen it on his own. The one thing I didn’t like was it’s not reflective enough. I can barely see my dog at night with it on. So if you want something more reflective then this isn’t for you but for the durability it’s something to overlook.

This is our 2nd of these collars. We like have a place for tags separate from the leash ring. The first collar lasted 3 years before the nylon tab holding the small ring for tags wore out and was close to breaking. That tab is not particularly thick and is the weakest part of the collar by far. Our dog spends a lot of time in water I'm sure didn't help. We've had this collar 2 1/2 years and it's holding up well so far. For the price, we're willing to replace it every few years if needed.

Unfortunately my dog seems to be allergic to the material☹️. After washing it and setting the right length I prepared to take her for an evening walk. I was looking forward to having a reflective and comfortable collar she could always wear with her new personalized name tag but within 10-15 minutes she became non-stop with scratching and her ears turned red. Thought I had a winner but this just didn’t work for us.

This is honestly a pretty decent collar, but I wouldn't call it heavy duty. Maybe in the house pet realm but not overall. I have an adventurer who would be tagless in a day with this collar, at which point I might as well have spent the money on something more durable. Her last one was a Kong Max with all metal hardware and it broke so I don't have high hopes for this one. I ended up returning it and going to the pet store.
