I read a few mixed reviews on this coffee maker, but decided to give it a go. I’ve had it about a month now, and I make one to two pots a day in it. The coffee comes out great. Robust and full. Some of that has to do with the fresh beans I use, but I give the machine credit as well. It seems to brew at a perfect temperature and even has a “Half pot” option where it backs it down a bit so it doesn’t burn the coffee and ruin the flavor. Price was high, but so far worth it. I personally think it is a very nice looking machine and goes great on my little coffee bar. The pieces are washable and very easy to disassemble and clean as well. Like I said, not the cheapest, but I’m this far thoroughly satisfied on all counts with my Krups. ... show more

Update: The unit went crazy after 6 weeks and all the lights won’t stop flashing. Driving me nuts!! This machine is quiet and makes wonderful coffee. I really like the glass carafe so I can quickly see when I am getting low. A couple of points: 1. It’s very simple to use. Only one button for a normal pot. There’s an option for 1/2 a pot. 2. If you’re a coffee snob like I am and you’re looking for an automatic coffee maker, look no further. This little beauty makes terrific coffee. I don’t usually do reviews unless a product is outstanding and this one is. First, your coffee will be hot and I mean HOT! None of that lukewarm stuff. Second, the coffee is absolutely delicious. It has a blooming feature meaning the coffee stops for a bit during the brewing cycle before it continues. That makes for an even richer coffee. It also has three adjustments on the filter basket. One is open, the other half open, and the third closed. Before you remove the carafe, be sure you close the basket so it doesn’t drip. My favorite part of this coffee maker is the half open feature on the basket. It’s sort of a kin to a French press. The coffee brews but slower and the coffee is stronger and richer. I have never had a coffee maker or heard of one that has this feature. It also has auto shut off and a switch if you’re only going to brew a half a pot. ... show more

I struggled to find a simple to operate coffee maker that also brewed rich coffee and fit in a small space. I first purchased an expensive coffee maker which lasted about 5 min. One of the buttons when pushed fell inside the base of the machine. So after returning this faulty machine, I researched best certified compact coffee makers which made top notch coffee, offered great value for the money, looked nice on the counter, and had a glass carafe. I received this coffee maker yesterday, and just brewed some coffee today. I really love this machine, so far. Easy to set up, and very simple to operate. No programming features at all. Just great coffee quickly, with the press of a button. The blooming feature, and 1/2 pot settings are great to have, too. The machine is attractive, and has a small footprint on the countertop. Components are dishwasher safe as well. This is the best coffee maker we have ever owned. Coffee taste amazing every time, no grinds in the bottom of your cup, and keeps coffee hot. We didn’t want to spend that much but it’s worth every penny. Quality is great, no fancy adjustments. We love the blooming feature. Love this machine

Coffee maker looked great and brewed perfect coffee. Brew speed was very quick as well. Power switch started non-stop flashing after pot was brewed and the only way to turn the unit off was to unplug it. Customer service was great and they sent over a return UPS scan code and I sent back to Krups. I'll update review when rectified. 6/20/25 8/1/25: Update.
