Worked well. There is nothing that locks the guide vertically. There should be a “click” in for 45 degree and 90 degree holes, as you would have on another saw or other tool.

Some assembly required, but this is the cheapest device I could find to drill a fairly accurate 15 degree hole. Works as advertised and my simple project is now finished!

This is the first time I felt that Kreg completely failed the assignment. The main issue is there is no locking mechanism for the angle, so you are setting it visually and trusting light tension to keep it in place. There is nothing forcing both sides to align with the exact angle, any amount of firm pressure can easily shift the bridge off the set angle. Secondly, you'd think that this would be capable of drilling deep holes, but despite the long travel of the bridge, the chuck barely extends beyond the baseplate, so most smaller / thinner drill bits will be useless. Lastly, setting the depth gauge realistically requires three hands as you need to grasp the baseplate, push the bridge down, and then turn a knob while it's still compressed. With all of this taken into consideration, this tool does not meet the design or build quality that I've come to expect from Kreg. Returned it without even using it.

I purchased this tool for drilling bookshelf holes. It did the job, but I was expecting a little more precision for setting angles. Like others have mentioned, there are no detents or stops for common angles. I have a number of Kreg tools, so maybe I was expecting better. The assembly instructions are hard to read and rather poor, but after trial and error I got it figured out. Both of the vertical bars move independent of each other which makes it harder to set the angle. It would be better if they were joined to move together. If you need precision, you might want to look elsewhere, but for small projects where "close enough" is okay, it's not a bad tool. A few improvements would make this a better tool.

The drill guide is adequate of most drilling/boring operations however it is not designed for large diameter items (such as large diameter hole saws. Rubber feet on guide base plate offer good surface protection and position stability. Happy with purchase.

The chuck wobbled badly, could not really try on the actual task. Otherwise, it is built per expectations at this price point. The sliders are OK, can get smooth movement, but it is all very lightweight and tipping even with the small drill attached. This is annoying and going to be a pain if used not bolted down. May have huge success in the toys category, which is where I think it belongs.
