The media could not be loaded. I bought this hoping it would work with my machine since i have both a 52mm spindle and a 65mm router for my setup however, the body of the attachment collides with the frame of my Z axis keeping the spindle from making contact with the media even with my spindle seated as low in the bracket as possible. I still have it 4 stars just for the quality of the attachment. I know this wasn't made with my Anolex 3020 in mind. Hopefully I can figure out a modification to make it work. Update: After finding the adapter plate for my 65mm router to attach, I was able to attach and use the Fix-alien dust brush with my setup. So far working as intended and no issues with the bottom coming detached from the top with the magnet's. If this is happening to you, adjust it so that the bristles just barely touch you media when in use. You don't need it pushed down to the point of the bristles bending for it to do its job.

This was a great product and it was easy to put together. Im new to cnc and so far, this has been the simplest install I have had to do. Picks up wood chips beautifully and the magnetic parts click together effortlessly and strong.

This is it. Don't keep searching. Buy this one & you have a versatile unit that will keep you from doing unnecessary maintenance. I've used this & can tell you it works. Various sizes for various spindles or routers... one good product. I've learned about cutting corners. Buy the thing that works. Buy the thing that fits.

This dust shoe does not stay in place. I have had two, and both suffered the same fate - the shoe fell off during a job and got chewed up by my end mill. FoxAlien was good enough to replace the first once free of charge. I've contacted support; let's see if they send me a 3rd. Currently, I have my 2nd dust shoe held in place with elastic bands. The magnets were ripped off by the last mishap. FoxAlien told me that the magnets work just find during their testing, but my experience leads me to a different conclusion. The magnets make removal and installation of the shoe quick and easy, but they're not secure enough to prevent the bottom of the shoe falling off. I do take the time to adjust the height of the shoe with every bit change. I aim for the brush to be anywhere from flush with the bit end to 1/2" above the bit end.

As a dust collector boot, it works very well. My cnc has never been so clean. One design improvement they could make is with the magnets that hold the two halves together. They are extremely weak. It has separated on me in the middle of running a job several times and when that happens it binds up the machine and ruins the work. The only way I have been able to overcome this is to put some masking tape on the side and the back to hold it together. 3 stars for that. Seems like it could be such a simple improvement.
