  • Easy to use. Works well
My first foray into pocket holes. Was between this and the massca. Saw advantages to both and my guess is that it makes no difference. Landed on the kreg. Very easy to set up. Very easy to use. Like the clamping system. For a beginner pocket holer (me), can’t go wrong, which is great. I find it not easy to drive the screws - bit doesn’t grab the screw head enough given tight space and angle. Although I have all kreg supplies my guess is that it would be similar regardless - just not sure why it looks so easy and isn’t. But this not a kreg problem I don’t think. One big knock is all the plastic. Yeah, metal would be nicer but I can’t see that there’s any negative functionally. The most important part to be metal (drill guide) is metal. I assume it will last - kreg stuff is generally good but I’ve only had this a few days so no idea. All in all, tho, I like this jig. And I like the small footprint with the option to add the wings ... show more

  • One of my best woodshop investments EVER!
I am so glad I purchased this! The amount of time it saves compared to the manual clamp-style jig is insane. I love the portability while also feeling high-quality and sturdy. I would pay double what I did for this one and not be upset about it, it's that good. If you build shelves, cabinets, furniture and aren't using one, you're doing it wrong! ... show more

  • A little flimsy but solid where it counts
Easy to use and works perfectly. Tolerances are very tight between the bit and the guides. I wish they hadn’t used such flimsy plastic throughout but I guess they had a certain profit margin they wanted to hit. A little of the tip of the drill bit broke off on its very first use but a message to Kreg was returned within a day with a new bit on its way. Great customer service! Because of their price on their bits I decided to stock up with a competitor’s bit that is 99.9% the same at a third of the cost. ... show more

  • Great tool, but...
The tool is great. The base is made out of plastic and it feels a bit flimsy, but it does the job. I wish it would be made of sturdier material. The clamp to secure the tool on a workbench could be improved; it takes valuable time due to the design of clamp. Overall it's a great tool, but could use some minor upgrades. ... show more

  • Kreg 720 Pro is GREAT for woodworking projects
The 720 pro makes it so FAST & EASY to make pocket holes and make a professional looking job. I wish now I had bought one long ago. It has everything you’ll need to get to work. I also bought THE SK03 pocket hole screw kit. I’ve been using the heck out of this thing.

  • Worth the upgrade
There are plenty of pocket hole jig options out there. I've purchased several over the years. From Kreg and other manufacturers. I should have just purchased this one. Makes quick work of anything 1-1/2" or narrower. Dust collection works great. Workpiece doesn't slide around and also doesn't get damaged from over-clamping. Just does what it's supposed to do, and the wings on the unit really help with stabilizing the whole thing. Even has bit / driver / allen wrench storage on the back of the unit, so there are even fewer excuses for misplacing them. You'll still want a basic jig for those occasions when your workpiece is thicker or you need to drill some holes while assembly is "in progress" (IE, you forgot, or miscalculated) since it's a fairly sizable unit. But Kreg sells those mini kits (one claimable drill bit guide, one bit, Allen wrench), which would be a good companion tool for your pocket hole joinery needs. If you see one on sale, snap it up, you won't be disappointed! ... show more

  • A must have tool for a Woodcrafter
This tool is absolutely amazing. I had it in my wishlist a long time and received a project request that using this tool was the best option for constructing. My only regret is that I didn't buy it instead of putting it in my wishlist and used it in so many past projects.
