Does it work? Kind of. If you have the patience to rethread it every single time you need to sew a new piece of fabric. If you’re fine with it snagging and getting messed up for no reason, then yeah it works, I guess. I bought this for my son so he could sew with me and I honestly wish I just spent the extra $60 to buy a full size sewing machine. The bigger machines seem intimidating, I know, but they’re definitely easier to use and thread and maintain. This mini machine is JUNK and I wish I could return it. Even the scissors that came with it are garbage and can’t cut thread.

It worked pretty well the first three times we used it. Then my granddaughter tripped over the cord and accidentally pulled it off the table. Since then the needle won't go up and down. I've spent hours trying to troubleshoot it, but haven't been able to get it to work it again. Also I was never able to figure out how to swap out the upper thread because I couldn't get it to release. The manual doesn't include enough information. They want you to scan a QR code instead to get info, but some of us are old and want read this info in a manual, and not on a tiny phone screen.

I know absolutely nothing about sewing, let alone how to use a sewing machine. with their videos, I managed to sew everything I wanted to. what would have taken me ?days? to do by hand, was done in less than 2 hours.

The tensionor that my spool holds it keeps breaking my thread other than that this thing is smaller than I thought but does work well less tension on the thread and this would be great for small projects.

Grant it the only sewing machine I've used is one from the 80s and 90s. (I'm 33) I don't understand the bad reviews. I typed in kpcb tech on YouTube. Bam found a set up video. My advice do not let anyone twist your tension knob as it's already adjusted and very hard to readjust. I've never been able to change a bobbin before I thought I could not learn how. Babam I did with this guy in 5 minutes. I got the blue n black one minute and sewed up. You can put batteries in it . Sew with a button instead of foot petal if you wish. Now I just wish I ordered more fabric... Yes it only does one basic stitch however, it's perfect for beginners but is perfect for the price faster than hand sewing for small basic stitching. My expectations were low but this machine exceeded everyone of them. Grant it again the only thing I have to compare is with is very vintage sewing machines that need repairing every use.
