This is easy to use and the directions are easy to follow. This comes with items to fix your machine if it breaks with instructions on how to replace parts. It is small and compact, with impressively tight stitches with thick and thin fabrics. I compared this to my serger and this one has tighter stitches. This looks like a smaller version of an industrial serger. The only complaint I have is the led light can be blinding. It needs to be facing down instead of multi-directional. I got this for my teen daughter and I to try some sewing projects together. It did take us a little while to figure out how to use it. And we needed my mom(a seamstress) to teach us the basics. So, it's not going to be for people who have never sewed or used a surger before. Once we got the basics down though I think it works really well. Biggest advice for this machine would be have patience and maybe watch some videos to help get started, but after that you should be good to go. ... show more

It works as intended, but I found out the hard way that something on the bottom scratched up my wooden table so it needs some kind of pad underneath it. The instruction video made it easy enough to thread the machine but the written instructions are in really bad English so they’re basically useless. If you don’t know how to operate a serger already maybe invest is something with better instructions and color-coding for the threads. ... show more

Got this to trim down flannel shirts. Its fairly easy to set up for beginners like me. I use only one spool of thread at a time, but it gets the job done. the stitching it nice and tight and doesn't come lose. I'm 6'2" 190lbs and finding flannels at a decent price that fit my slim body isn't easy. So i purchase regular fit XL and just trim and stitch to fit. I wish I had paid attention to the reviews of this machine from another listing. The machine came pre-threaded however that was disrupted in shipping. Far too hard to thread and if not right---machine won't work. Instructions (which are mostly pictures) are worthless. Nothing to help you troubleshoot. I've been threading this for two hours with no success! Video on YouTube makes it seem so easy but in real life--it's not. The light stays on---I never saw a switch to turn it off. I had to unplug. After reading the other feedback (same machine from another vendor on Amazon) most of the complaints were the same as mine. Needless to say, this is being returned ... show more

Overall it's a decent little serger. It came pre-threaded which was nice but depending on how shipping goes it may need to be rethreaded. They have a video online that walks you though it pretty easily. The machine has a very industrial feel, the doors and covers are a little rough opening and closing and it did have a good bit of machine oil on it, but it works well and is a great addition to my sewing setup. ... show more
