  • A great sewing machine
Style: With Sewing Kit
I'm a total beginner when it comes to sewing, but this machine has been a game-changer for me. The compact design is perfect for my small workspace, and the included accessories are super helpful. The finger guard is a great safety feature, and the double-thread capability makes it easy to work with thicker fabrics. The machine is easy to use, and the adjustable speed setting is really useful. I love that it comes with a bunch of fabric bundles and a tutorial video series to get me started. The extension table is also a nice touch - it provides extra support for bigger projects. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone just starting out with sewing. ... show more

  • Good Purchase
Style: With Sewing Kit
I ordered this sewing machine for my mom and she’s absolutely loving it! She’s a beginner and this machine has been perfect for her to get started. It comes with everything you need—fabric bundles, thread, foot pedal, even a finger guard for safety. The extension table is really helpful and makes it easier to handle bigger pieces of fabric. It’s compact but does a great job and feels sturdy for its size. My mom has already made a few small projects and she’s so happy with how easy it is to use. Definitely a great buy if you’re looking for a beginner-friendly machine with all the essentials included! ... show more

  • Great for beginners!
Style: With Sewing Kit
I’ve never sewed before but decided to buy this to see if I liked it. I love it!! This machine is great for beginners as it’s not too difficult to figure out and it comes with lots of different threads and fabrics to experiment with. There’s little things like the tension rod being a little broken and the fact that it doesn’t have a reverse sewing option that makes it not a full 5/5 starts but it’s so worth it for the price and for beginners. ... show more

  • Pros and Cons for "Making Masks"
Style: With Sewing Kit
I had to order a more expensive sewing machine just now because this machine had too many issues (for me). I bought this machine after the handheld one didn't work. To save others money and not have to buy 3 machines, I decided to post my thoughts as far as making masks. (Sidenote: handheld machine is useless for masks! Don't buy it). As far as this machine goes: PROS: •Cheap •Very compact/small •Has a light •pull out table CONS: •You can't back stitch to truly "seal" your mask •The table buckles with weight •The springs for the tension randomly pop off •Very difficult to sew elastic (I could deal with all of these issues) BUT: •It's virtually impossible to get the bottom bobbin to come up through the top consistently. After 14 youtube videos and two hours I wanted to throw it away. If you have arthritis/dexterity issues or vision issues, etc don't buy this machine. Threading the top is ok (with glasses and light). The bottom bobbin....HUGE Issue. I don't have an extra $75 to spare but the bottom bobbin and thread breaking will force you into madness (on top of 2020!) I'll give it to my 15 year old who will love it ... show more

  • Cute, fast, and easy use!!
Style: With Sewing Kit
This mini sewing machine came in super fast, which I loved. It already had the needle and thread set up, so I didn’t have to do much to get started. It’s honestly really cute and doesn’t take up a lot of space. I was surprised at how easy it was to use. It worked perfectly and had no issues at all. Great for small projects or quick fixes. • Solid Product!
Style: With Sewing Kit
I have this great set of flannel sheets. They have been washed so many times that the tags are not readable. They are soooo comforta ... gah! The seams have broken at all of the corners! The thread appears to have come undone on two of the corners, and the other two just ripped at the seam ... about three inches along the corner. Otherwise, they are in great shape. I wonder if they is an inexpensive way to fix these well loved sheets. Do it yourself. And that's always the answer. I looked at sewing machines, but they are pretty pricey for a decent one. They are also bloated with features to the point where I can't really work it without taking a class on it, and my college days have passed me. Some machines I needed to major in Sewing to use. So, I stumble upon this mini KPCB upgraded sewing machine. I read the reviews, and they are quite impressive. I have a look at the pictures, and I think ... wait, it's plastic! And it looks small, like a kid's toy. And it's plastic. It's too inexpensive to work like a real machine. It's still plastic. I re-read the reviews. Well, kids can use it, but it's not a toy. It's simple to use, great for repairing things. It's reasonably well constructed. There are video instructions on how to use it (not very long, 8 to 10 minutes or so, I checked). The support people are great. Amazon has a great return policy, so ... It arrived, and I re-watched the videos. Too simple, but knowing me, I'll have some issues. Let me run a few tests and make sure all of the buttons work. They do. Let me go ahead and remove the cloth like in the video and re-stitch it. I do, and it's fine. I make a note to leave lots of thread when removing the sewn item ... I need to tie both ends near the cloth, double knot. Also, the machine itself needs at least about 10 inches to start (so that I can tie a knot in the thread where its starts sewing, and also the machine needs a lead piece as the video instructed). Great, no problem. I would like to use the foot pedal, but I'm too clunky with my feet. It's hard to work that way for me. Not everyone, just me. Wait... if I put the "foot" pedal under my right arm, about half way between hand and elbow, I can control the machine AND guide the cloth. That worked out great! So, I grab the fitted sheet that needs repair. I overlay the two pieces of cloth and put a pin or two in them to keep the edges together, nice and straight. I raise the sewing machine foot, line up the edge, and put in the cloth. I clamp down the sewing machine foot, and I turn the knob on the right side, following the arrows, to make a few stitches first (as the instructions recommend). I turn on the light, set the machine to low speed, hold the cloth to feed it, and .... engage foot pedal! It sews at a speed that I can keep pace with. It went all the way through, no problems. It all lined up very nicely. I followed the instructions to find the sweet spot so that the thread will pull without resistance and the cloth slides right out. On the upper thread I took it out of the tensioner and used my finger to hold it. It pulled much easier that way, and I stuck it back when I had enough. Pull out plenty as this will need tying on the cloth side, and it becomes the lead thread for sewing the next item. Well, it came out perfectly on both sides. Not too shabby. Better than expected, actually. Much better. I did another one as re-enforcement, and then I tied all the thread ends up near the cloth. I did all four corners this way. I guess I was thinking there would be more to it. The machine worked quite well, and it seemed well constructed ... even if it is plastic. The support people answered a question I had, and were very prompt and polite. I could see kids using this with supervision at a reasonable age. Huh, just like advertised and reviewed. How often does THAT happen? Side Note: Technically, I could have sew everything by hand without even turning the sewing machine on (just by manually turning the right knob). Good to know if you're camping and have no power. It does sew without power. ... show more
