Mats stay in place,neutral color looks nice in my Lr Dr area casual but not too utilitarian , and serve the purpose very well. Thicker more sturdy than expected. Indoor outdoor so I will probably order more for deck and porch. they have a rubber like backing but do not stick to the floor as well as some tufted kitchen rugs I have used. Would not use them if anyone in the house was at risk from tripping hazards. Have not washed yet, but they look like they can withstand a gentle cycle machine wash. I would expect to air dry. i really like the look of jute rugs but i have cats and they love sharpening their murder mittens on jute and sisal rugs (understandably so) and they end up only lasting me a few months before i have to throw out. this is a faux jute rug and it is so cat-friendly (i.e. durable) but still very nice looking! i put it in front of my laundry closet so a very high traffic area and, for the most part, it has stayed in place (except for the moments where the cats get their zoomies). i like that it is washable and that it has a rubber backing so it's not slipping and sliding everywhere. great buy! ... show more

Color is effective in my space w/baskets and a gold corduroy couch. Texture is tight enough it should last, and it hides bits of dirt or grass pretty well. Light weight enough to shake thoroughly, stays put for the most part, but is easy to adjust occasionally if it budges a bit.
