UPDATE.... The Seller reached out to me after reading my review and sent me replacement chairs. It is obvious that they care about their customers and want to ensure complete customer satisfaction. In addition they mentioned sending my photos to their design team to consider possible changes for the future. They were humble and sincere, what more can you ask for?? As a result I increased my rating to 4 stars. WOW I have such mixed feelings about these chairs. I searched everywhere for the perfect combination of style for my home and overall quality/durability. I read countless reviews and the CHITA brand Counter Height Barstools stood out as the winner. Although most of the reviews were glowing, there seemed to be a contradiction regarding the assembly. Some stated it took about 2 hours to put together, and some raved how easy they were, that the seat and bottom just needed to be attached using 4 bolts, and assembly was done in less than 10 minutes Being a pretty handy senior with a screw driver, I naively hoped for the best and added the 2 Pack Flint Gray to my cart. I assumed those that took 2 hours to assemble were clueless how to tighten a bolt?? 8 days later the huge box arrived at my front door. It was so heavy, I had to open and unload the contents on my front porch and carry everything inside piece by piece. Clearly this was not a 10 minute assembly. The chair seats and leg parts were wrapped securely and properly to withstand shipping. There were easy to understand instructions. Each chair had a complete Hardware Card with an Allen Wrench (hex key). And yes, it took almost 10 minutes just to unwrap everything, and read the instruction booklet. The 4 legs need to be attached individually to the swivel mechanism using 2 bolts each. (The swivel was already attached to the underside of the seat) The bolts are in an awkward position and the allen wrench barely fits into the small space. It is impossible to make complete rotations, so the process is long and tiresome. The crossbars need to be screwed into the leg, but be careful. Use slow and steady brute force, as there is no pre-drilled hole in the leg, and the wood could easily split. Be sure to screw these completely flush or they won't catch and the cross bar won't stay put. (see attached photos). For me the assembly took a good 2 hours! And have fun removing the stickers.... Once the chairs were assembled I have to say the chairs are very attractive and look great at my kitchen counter. I like the simple design, the light gray color and they are somewhat comfortable to sit on. I have included photos indicating measurements. But I find the quality very questionable. Once assembled I noticed an obvious stain on the top of one of the chairs. You can clearly see the construction nails popping through the fabric and already compromising the threads, showing "wear", even though these were fresh out of the box. (see photo). With taking extreme care in screwing in those cross bar nails, I still have one crossbar that does not seat completely, and pops out. (see photo). The nails are screwed in as flush as they can go. The leg(s) must be warped, not allowing a tight fit, so that chair will never be safe to sit on. Overall I love the look of these chairs, but the laborious assembly, the stain, the permanent stickers, the construction nails popping through the fabric and the cross bar not seating properly leave me disappointed.

I purchased 4 these 26 inch counter height swivel chairs in December 2023. I really like them but noticed that the base of one of my chairs is very unstable. The other three seem to be fine with no issues. I am not sure if the base was defective originally but found it odd that the base of only one chair is starting to rock back and forth and there is no way to tighten it since the base comes attached to the chair. I don't think that the chairs are still under warranty but wish there was some way to have it repaired or replaced. Chita Living is there any way that you can respond with a solution? Thank you.

I love these! I just finished assembling them, which was an absolute breeze. The instructions were simple, well written, and clear. The instructions are the exact opposite of those from IKEA. The one piece of advice I would give to anyone buying these is to make sure you have a quality screwdriver. These chairs are comfortable and sturdy, too.

If you buy two chairs, you will love them. They will match. If you buy four like I did, you may feel a bit different. The listing explains that if you buy four, you will receive them in two packages and possibly two different days. They do not mention that you may also be receiving chairs from two factories too. This can be an issue. We received the first two yesterday and they are a home run. Love everything. Wood used, leather, stitching, even the hardware and screw holes. All amazing. Today we received shipment two. You can tell this is from a different factory the leather has a different feel, the stitching is very close but not the same. Hardware is stainless instead of black (means you can see them against a black chair). Stickers used on shipment two to indicate where pieces fit might be permanently affixed (can't remove them cleanly yet). I mean you can tell that factory two was given details to match factory one work but they more knocked it off than duplicated it. My biggest concern is how the two factories pieces will wear. My bet is very different. If I returned these, I run the risk of factory 2 again or worse .. factory 3 in play. It leaves me in a tough spot. I suppose we will keep everything and see how wear happens but this is a buyer beware tale of caution. It will give me pause to buy from CHITA again.

I was so happy to find these barstools were just as nice in real life. Not hard to assemble but I would recommend you add wood glue to the cross bars. After sitting on the stools just a few times the cross bars started loosening and falling off. Otherwise they are beautiful and comfy.
