  • Inexperienced 8 hr solo assembly
Size: 10ft x 12ft
Very helpful to have a 6' ladder. Unpack and lay everything out. Watch the avail YouTube's. An extended T-25 torx screw bit DOES fit 90% of the screws needed (it is a hex head but torx works), rest are standard Phillips head. A drill to assist was huge time saver. I found attaching (loosely) the roof panels at the NON-OVERLAPPING screw holes was huge help on getting into a rhythm. It is very thin metal so it's flimsy out of the box, but once buttoned together it's pretty sturdy. Really nice finish and does work nicely with propane fire table in the middle. 95% was done solo, definitely a few points did need a second person. Great purchase, beats the equivalent box store price by a few hundred bucks. ... show more

  • I was skeptical....
Size: 10ft x 12ft
The media could not be loaded. #1 complaint....the shipping company RoadRunner Freight = AWFUL, RUDE AND TOOK WAY TOO LONG. Shipping from New Jersey I receive LTL freight shipments in 3 days....I ordered on 9/22, they picked it up on the 23rd - lost the pallet, had to do a dock search and finally received it on 10/11! The box truck that delivered it wouldn't go down my road - fortunately we have a cat skid steer so could grab the pallet off the truck and drive it home.....not sure how anyone else would have done it. Box was damaged, we noted it and the driver made a claim just incase there was damage. Fast forward.... We immediately started pulling all the pieces out and separating label side up, there were a lot but nothing overwhelming. Took about 20 minutes. There was NO Damage!!! They are boxed and labeled very well. A few bent areas on a few pieces but nothing to cause issue and no dents on the actual outside frame. We got started right away, I took pics and videos of every step and progress. We cracked out the whole frame in about 4.5 hours I believe (I said the time on one of my videos) we waited for the roof which is what all the frustration in reviews I was preparing for. The second day we got started on the roof panels....holy cow I thought it was going to be more of a pain! The side brackets are powdercoated so the hanger parts are sort of stuck down....a gentle nudge of the flat head screwdriver just to "unstick" the powdercoating and the fit amazingly and snug. There were a few that we inadvertently got carried away and did pry open a little much (which will cause much frustration of the brackets falling off while you are fitting them in the tracks) TRUST ME....JUST LIGHTLY PRY IT OPEN NOT UP!!! Truthfully, after the first 2-3 top roof panels the thing came together nicely. I word of advice...in the instructions it shows how the panels go up and so we did just that....the next page said bolt in each panel as you go. I am pretty sure this would possibly have made it go a little faster but I didn't read the next page til after we got the panels up. (My hubs heard my..."uhhh ooops" and the typical "oh, chele :( " came out - we thought we were going to have to remove all the panels but we did not. The longest part of the roof panels was all the bolts, there are a lot of them. Second day we completed the build in about 4 hours. All in all, I am very satisfied with this purchase! It is lighter than some others we were considering so I was nervous but this thing is very sturdy. There are a few areas in the roof panels where I can see light so they may be shifted a little up at the brackets by the roof - if it leaks we can seal it...not really an issue. Lastly, I was worried how the "wood grain" was going to look on metal...but it seriously looks amazing! I would 100% recommend this gazebo and I am very glad we decided to go with this one! I emailed and called several times because of the shipping delays - they always emailed back - return phone calls never happened but that is ok - I stayed up on it with the shipper. ... show more

  • Excellent Gazebo - Tips Below
Size: 12ft x 16ft
We bought a 12x16 gazebo, and I'm extremely happy with the purchase. Some people noted that their delivery people were rude -- ours was extremely friendly and even offered to help carry some of the boxes down to where we were setting the pad up. I assembled the 12x16 gazebo by myself over about 20 hours with only a few problems. Hints for assembly: - The manual is relatively helpful but youtube videos are essential, especially for telling how parts fit together. - The included tools are terrible. An impact driver works really well, but a ratchet set will do in a pinch. - Setting up the initial frame (legs + cross pieces) was the only place where it would've been really helpful to have another person. But you can manage with an extra ladder. - When assembling the roof, ignore the instructions. Put up all of the roof supports (M, N and N1, then P and Q) before you put up the top of the roof. Also, don't just put up the M supports (like they do in a youtube video) or you may rip out the bolts. - Pay close attention to the difference between the N and N1 supports. They're identical except some of them have extra holes which will be important later. If you mess it up (like I did) it's easy to drill additional holes through the supports without hurting structural integrity. - The z-clips are annoying but not too bad. For the upper roof, put in the T supports before putting in the panels (the panels will slip in) and it's a lot easier. For the lower roof, ignore the directions and start in the middle of each side and build the panels out towards the edges. - When it calls for a specific bolt that you've run out of, don't panic. You probably have to undo one of the bolts you already put in to slot the new piece in. Thoughts on finishing the gazebo: - We've had a number of heavy storms and no leaking. However, it was really important to caulk everything to prevent mosquitoes coming in, not because of the rain. - I mounted the gazebo on cement blocks on top of a gravel pad. Then used anchors with wire rope to ensure the blocks didn't move. It worked well but required buying a roll of 8" screen and sewing it onto the bottom of the screen curtain. On the plus side, the gazebo's a bit taller this way. - The hooks that hold the screen onto the four corner posts come undone easily. I solved this by using velcro with adhesive backing (and sewed it to the curtain) and it works great. Suggestions to the manufacturer: - Emphasize the difference between the N and N1 pieces in the manual. - Switch to hex head bolts instead of bolts that use an allen key. They'd be about the same price but a lot easier to use. - Include some adhesive velcro (see above). All in all, it looks like something we'll enjoy for many years to come. ... show more

  • Very nice look
Size: 10ft x 12ft
This gazebo is very pretty but it definitely takes 2 or more people to assemble. We split it into 2 days. It took a couple of hours each day. We do enjoy the look of it and so far so good.

  • Gazebo is perfect
Size: 12ft x 20ft
I'll start off by saying it's fairly easy to install and I'm no handyman. The 1 issue I struggled with is how difficult the roof portion is to install. The holes barely line up and you need a lot of strength to get the holes lined up. I'm glad I'm done putting it together and hopefully I won't have to put another one together. This is exactly what we could afford and it's pretty good quality from what I can tell. ... show more

  • We love it.
Size: 10ft x 12ft
Wanted to replace a fabric gazebo and started to research. Looked at the wooden ones, they were pricey and chunky. Decided on aluminum, didn't want rust. After looking at many, many reviews decided on this one and we love it. Was concerned about the price and how much we would use it. Used it every day this summer since June when I put it together. Only 4 stars because it was not easy to put up. I did 80% of it by myself (I'm 53 and handy) and my son helped me the other. Took a couple days. Like others said, keep the screws loose while assembling. For some reason the top portion gave me the most trouble. It is sturdy, had a few storms with 40+ mph winds. Bolted it to the concrete patio. Still completely solid. The wood-like posts look real nice. Ordered the screen and shade panels from Kozyard direct. Nice quality and a tight fit, highly recommend. ... show more

We love our new gazebo! It's like adding a room to our house. We hired two construction workers to put it together for us. They were impressed by the solid pieces.

  • I hoped for a five star
Size: 12ft x 16ft
The Gazebo is beautiful but for the price tag attached to it, it didn’t meet my expectations. The gazebo itself was hard to put together because the holes weren’t matching up and because of that the roof looks like it could leak (but no rain came before this post). The hangers for the mosquito curtain are cheap plastic that fall out of the track and I also had a dent in one of the poles along with missing screws. Also for the high prices the solid curtains are sold separately at $200.00 for each. I bought the 12x16 and I don’t even see a choice to buy them if I wanted to. For myself I’m already committed but for someone just starting to look I see a couple of other manufacturers out there that I feel would be a better investment. ... show more

  • There are A lot of screws, but they are labeled for easy assembly.
Size: 10ft x 12ft
When we first ordered it we read the reviews about the different problems with delivery. While it take about 3 weeks to come it came all bundled together without any damages, so that's a plus. It was expected to be delivered on several different days and we finally did receive a call from FedEx about delivery the next day. So just be patient as it will arrive. As far a putting it together that was a different task . We placed it above an existing hot tub, so the top was almost all the way built (left out the corner pieces for lifting) on the ground and then placed on top, 4 guys had no problem with it. It feels pretty sturdy but once it's all bolted down will have to make an informed decision then. Take you time putting it together and it will be fine, look at the pictures as there is not enough in the directions to make you feel totally comfortable about what goes where. ... show more

  • Great product
Size: 10ft x 12ft
I purchased this gazebo because I was tired of the pop ups or cloth that could not withstand any severe weather. I live near water in the Northeast and thunderstorms pop up all the time and I was tired of rushing to get them down before the weather damaged them. This product shipped quickly and arrived in about 7 days. The instructions were a little vague for the roof but easy enough to figure out. The install was pretty straight forward. I put the frame up by myself in about 4 hours. The roof definitely needs 2 people to put up (about 4 1/2 hours) Use a screw gun set on very low torque with a hex bit for install. they also include extras of all the bolts, nuts and screws. I had 1 small defect on a corner piece and I emailed the company and received a replacement within 3 days. It has been up for about 6 weeks with no issues, I would highly recommend. ... show more

  • Good value
Size: 12ft x 16ft
The gazebo is very sturdy. We had 60 to 70 mph winds and had no problems. Would have been a 5 star review except for the assembly instructions. They were lacking in details at some points. You will need at least 3 people for certain steps.

  • Stylish and Functional Gazebo
Size: 10ft x 12ft
Needed a replacement for our 10 X 10 gazebo that was crushed by a fallen tree in a wind storm. Went with the 10 X 12 this time and like the bigger size. Only issue was the shipping company held it locally for 2 weeks before delivery. Said they were short on drivers :(. Completed the assembly mostly by myself. Only enlisted a neighbors help with setting the roof joists on the frame. The instructions were not the easiest to follow but with some trial & error, worked out OK. I used concrete deck anchors for the posts and put them upside down so the large square bottom allowed the posts to sit perfectly. Used sleeve anchors to secure the posts to the concrete. Puzzled the brick pavers around each post and the old holes left by the old gazebo. ... show more
