Honestly I have questions but the question bar isn’t there so I’ll just leave a full review in the meantime. I like the simplicity of this camera it was basically screw it in and it worked, except it actually took about an hour of trying a meal break and another 20-30 minutes to get it to connect properly but once it’s on it’s on! The issue I’m having with it now because obviously I’m not getting a subscription for it I bought a memory card. But it says the (new) memory card must be formatted in order to maybe work. Still tries to get me to subscribe to a monthly fee every time I go into the app to just see what’s going on outside. So to get to my question is there a specific memory card I have to buy for it to work? I will try formatting the one I have but I’ve never had this issue with other devices. I know there’s really no way for me to get a response out of this review but maybe the seller could update the description of the item with a memory card that is best suited for this particular camera. I will update on wether formatting worked. The memory card I got is a ONN brand 128gb and it’s not working properly.

The motion detection is super sensitive, so I finally shut off alerts. The nice thing is that you can control the device and tilt and maneuver it with the app. The picture and night vision are also very good, The downfall is that the camera is quirky on when it wants to work, so most of the time it is not connected to wifi and not functioning. I've reset numerous times, set up again indoors, and when I've moved it outside (front door light), I cannot even toggle the camera on/off button on the app. Save your money, unless you have great wifi in the area you plan to use it.

The camera, functionality and resolution is excellent but the performance is hampered by constant harassment to buy a subscription and adds keep popping up when trying to review the SD card video storage. The monthly subscription is WAY more expensive than ring camera also so its not cost effective to purchase. If you dont mind navigating the harassment to purchase subscription services, it works well.

Okay, let me first state that this is my experience with this product - maybe other people can do a better job of getting the thing set up and working properly. I'm not a dumb guy, and I'm pretty electronically savvy, but I have not been able to get this thing to work as advertised. I set it up by our back door, which enters the house from our deck. I can't figure out whether the motion detection works too well or not at all. Every day I'd get a few dozen notifications about motion being detected, but absolutely nothing going on in the video (except perhaps some breeze through the tree, a leaf falling, shadows moving on the wall, etc.). It never showed any human being despite the fact that my wife and I both walked through that door several times a day. My wife spent 15 minutes sweeping leaves off the deck and it never detected her. I don't know whether the motion detector in incapable of actually detecting objects the size of a human being, or whether it is just too slow - by the time it actually starts capturing video the human is long gone. But, as far as detecting an intruder - useless. And frankly, even though I tried setting the sensitivity to low, getting 40 notifications every day showing nothing was really annoying. In a location, like an interior hallway, where the only motion is going to be a human walking by, it might work better. Another thing that perhaps I just didn't quite understand - I expect that it was a light that would come on automatically when motion was detected, so you know, when somebody gets home after dark the light would turn on as you approached the door. That's important since I had to replace the actual light to install this thing. But that didn't work - I had to stand in front of the camera and wave at it for few seconds before the light would come on, and when it didn't it wasn't strong enough to actually let a person see where they were going. It lasted four days before I just had to take it down and put my regular light bulb back.

I got these to be able to check the back and side yard of the house when we're away or I don't want to go outside... We have a little garden and occasionally animals will help themselves to our veggies... We have a monitored home security system and it works great but these can be moved and used anywhere there's a plug in and can connect to the router. These were so easy to install and test out. I would not use them where they might get rained on outside but on a back porch or from a screened in sun room it works fine. I liked that I could scan and turn it easy to see different angles. The one thing I did not count on is one place I wanted to put one was a bit too far from the router so it had problems connecting to the internet. Nothing wrong with the camera at all, just distance issue and I have a wifi extender/booster I believe I can use. I tested one out in the living room and thought heck I could use that in any room if we were not home and I wanted to check on things in an open area.. use it when I wanted to or needed and move it to another room anytime.. so easy. I planned to put one at our entryway so I can see who is coming by. I also want to put one in my husband's shop so I can check on him or know when he's in there working, or in the garage to know when someone pulls in.
