I was shocked when it came in such a small box. You have to assemble all the curved pieces with two bolts each. I’ve seen some rings that also have more boots on the top and I do think this could have been perfect if it had the top bolts to keep it more sturdy. We still have to put the rock / gravel down and then buy the surrounding bricks but for the price this is a great deal as most rings cost over $100 ... show more

This @Koutemie fire pit ring liner was ordered so that we can have an area for our vacation home rental where our guests can enjoy a pleasant evening sitting around a campfire. The ring came in several pieces and included all the hardware required for assembly. Assembly was straightforward and took no time at all. Even though this is listed as a liner, you can use it as is. Simply put the ring on top of 3-4 bricks to allow airflow and you'll have yourself a contained campfire. I went to my local big box hardware store and picked up a bunch of retaining wall blocks and stacked them in a circle surrounding the liner. I left enough space between the blocks on the bottom level to provide air to the fire. The fire pit looks great, and the ring has a large lip to sit solidly on the blocks. So far, this ring has functioned as expected. I'm sure over time the heat and rain will cause rust but I expect that. This fire pit ring is a very good value. ... show more

Once this fire ring is all together and fixed it’s the perfect size for a backyard fire. My pieces were bent out of shape and needed cloth covered pliers to bring the heavy metal back together. This was only possible once it was assembled and then it was easy. The pieces are easily bolted together and stay in place even if you need to move the location. This can be partially buried with a sand or gravel base and left bare metal around the outside or stack rocks or blocks. The metal gets crazy hot so placing some sort of barrier is best. I’m very happy with the durability and size. It creates a nice atmosphere for an evening fire and is the best size to sit around with family to roast mallows. Used this to replace an older decaying firepit liner. Took about 90 seconds to assemble (very easy and the screws and nuts - plus little hex wrench and reg wrench make this a breeze to assemble). ... All together it is solid, sturdy, heavy but not too heavy that you can't lift it around or bend and tweak just a little. This definitely will withstand the flames and wood etc without disintegrating anytime this decade. And at a decent price. So very satisfied. ... show more

Bolts together pretty fast. I wasn't sure that I'd like multiple pieces assembled together. But it actually works well to compensate for the slight unevenness of our bricks. Now we have a pleasant finished look. The metal feels very durable with a consistent coating and should last quite a while.
