Used this tarp to replace electric pool cover. After our cover and motor crapped out on us and was told it would be over $6000.00 to replace I said screw that. We were use to covering our pool at night because it 1 keeps your pool cleaner.2 helps retain the heat and chemicals.3 extra safety precaution. We thought it would be a real pain putting on and taking off but it's pretty light weight and very easy for two people to walk it out to cover and fold it back when opening. We have a fence about 8' from the sides and 10" from the ends. I bought long bungle cords for the four corners which come reinforced with hard plastic guards and about 4 bungles for each side.Hook them to the bottom of the fence. I reinforced the metal loop holes on the sides with some duct tape or strong winds can cause the tarp to rip. The tarp is pretty strong. Held a lot of water from rain storms without tearing. Just throw a cover pump on top and it's all good. Will need a winter cover. Don't think this would hold up for the winter. For what I'm using it for though it's perfect.😎 ... show more

Covers my boat each winter for about 6 months, this is the third winter. It has held up great. I only expected one use from it, but three, definitely got my money worth. It didn't cave in or tear from the wet heavy snow. I don't have a lot of support to hold the tarp in place, so it exceeded expectations when it didn't tear from the weight of the snow. Edit: Made it four winters. Starting to get a hole from rubbing on a support and the weight of the snow. Very happy with how long it lasted and I will be buying another one. ... show more

I've had this tarp for a year to cover my boat. green side out in the winter, silver side out in the summer. after a year of use it is no longer waterproof, the filaments are breaking out and the silver coating gives off a fine silver dust that can't be good to breathe when I take it off.
