Good Tarp If You Understand What It Can and Can't Do
Color: Blue Size: Cut Size: 20 x 30'/Finished Size: 19' X 2...
I have used tarps like this in the past, and recommend using it where it can do the job. If you do that, it will serve you well. What it can't do: -- It can't replace a strong canvas tarp. It rips and tears easily, or if pulled tight against something sharp. -- Don't expect the tarp to not rip out the grommets if you have a lot of strong winds. -- It won't last forever. Sun and soft rubbing will eventually cause a hole to fray through. What it can do: -- It is waterproof (unless it rips). It will keep whatever is underneath it dry. -- If you are careful and choose jobs it can do, it should last at least three years. The down-and-dirty: This tarp, if ripped or frayed, will break down into strands of plastic. If you don't do anything to fix that issue, you will have strands tangling in other items in your yard. To fix, use duct tape. Tape on both sides for max hold, and easier to fix small tears before they expand to holes with strands flying about. Once you know it can rip or tear, you can do things to help it. My last tarp kept my wood (not always the smoothest items) dry for two years. Last year (third year) I didn't repair the tiny rips and had some wet wood. This year, I folded the old tarp and placed it on top of my wood pile (picture rows about 15 feet long, 5 feet deep). The folded old tarp protects the new tarp from sharp points as well as fraying when the wind blows. Expecting the new tarp to last at least three years if not longer due to the old tarp protecting it. Very satisfied. ... show more

Thin tarp but it works
Color: Blue Size: 15 x 30 Ft.
I purchased two of these Kotap 15 x 30 Ft. All-Purpose tarps to use on my roof for around two weeks while I waited for the roofers to replace my roof shingles. This tarp worked very well for that short period of time. As another reviewer said, understand what this tarp can and can’t do before purchasing it. It is only 5 mil in thickness so it can’t compete with canvas or the much thicker tarps. It did what I needed it to do which was keep my attic dry for a short period of time. ... show more

You get what you pay for
Color: Blue Size: 30 x 40 Ft.
This is the lightest-duty tarp I have ever worked with--very thin. Not that I am an expert in tarps, but I have certainly used a few in my day. On the one hand, it is very nice that it doesn't weigh that much, and for my purposes, that's a plus. However, I'm not super confident that it will not rip a hole in the near future... Speaking of holes, mine had a small hole in it when I first unfolded it--perhaps with a total area of a square inch... maybe less. Given that the tarp has an area of 1200 square feet, that's fairly insignificant. My main concern is that it may grow... And speaking of unfolding it for the first time, I thought I'd mention that doing so was a bit of a challenge--the tarp seemed to stick to itself slightly and was so light weight and large that it took a bit of time to get it all laid out mostly flat. This would have been much easier with 3 or 4 people instead of just me, but I don't seem to recall ever having a tarp stick to itself like that. I thought it was odd. No stars off, just a side note. At this price point, I can overlook a small hole and if it rips after a few uses, I think I can still give it 4 stars. If you want something that will last, you'll have to pay more for it. Probably quite a bit more. ... show more

Good tarp, using it as a pool cover.
Color: Blue Size: 12 x 18 Ft.
This tarp is the right size and weight for covering our pool when it rains. So far this season we've used it through 3 thunderstorms and it caught the rain water just fine but was easy to remove. Last year the tarp we used was too thick so it was difficult to manipulate but this one is light and sturdy. Regarding Uv resistance and durability, I haven't had it long enough to know. That said, we are in the high desert and if it can't make it through the 100+ temps here or stand up to clamps, then I'll come back and update my review. ... show more

Impressive. Would buy again.
Color: Blue Size: 20 x 40 Ft.
Review Image by Simon B.
Great tarps for the money. Much more durable than I had expected. Bought two ofthem to use as a temporary cover when re-roofing a barn. The project took longer than expected, and the tarps were left in place for several weeks through wind, rain and baking sun. The tarps stayed in place, did not whether, rip or tear. The grommets and reinforcing cord around the perimeter of the tarp held Strong. Very impressed. ... show more

Its decent
Color: Blue Size: 10 x 10 Ft.
This tarp works okay for basic coverage, but it’s not the most durable. It’s lightweight and easy to handle, which is convenient, but it feels a bit thin and I’m not confident it will hold up under heavy use or strong winds. The waterproofing works fine for light rain, but I wouldn’t rely on it for long-term outdoor protection. Overall, it’s decent for temporary use but could be better ... show more

Do not buy
Color: Blue Size: 30 x 50 Ft.
Do not buy!!! Got this Wednesday night. Didn’t use it until Saturday morning. Stretched it out and it felt very thin. Says it’s 5mil and I be used 5mil before for various things with no issue. While stretching it out notice small holes but wasn’t a big deal. By Saturday night a 5-8mph wind gust came through and ripped 50-60% of the eyelets out. It’s super poor quality. Cheap material and I’m supposed to be able to fold this up to return and that’s a joke. ... show more
