Description

Three new colors have been added to this standard pedal tuner. These are the first Korg tuners to use powder coating. With its brilliance and depth, this beautiful finish is also extremely durable. The lineup consists of three colors: sparkle blue (BL), sparkle red (RD), and sparkle white (WH). The color of each unit's sound name indicator LED has also been varied to match the differing body color. Don't miss this chance to enhance your system with a Pitchblack Advance tuner in a distinctive color that sets it apart from other tuners. • If I could give it 4.5 I would.
Color: Black
First, this is my experience using an in-line tuner, so please read my thoughts with that in mind. I really like the tuner. It's sturdy and the action on the foot switch is as expected. I also like the choices I have to pick the particular tuner setting I want with regard to in sensitivity, view, etc. My only criticism is that if the tuner is plugged in using power (i.e., not using the battery), the setting on the tuner (in my case I prefer the 3rd setting) doesn't stay programmed after powering down. So each time I power up, to begin practicing/playing, I have to reset the tuner to the setting I prefer (btw, the setting switch is not in a easily reachable spot). Not the end of the world, I know, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. If I could give it 4.5 I would. ... show more

  • Nice pedal, would recommend!
Color: Black
I'm new to playing bass and I wanted something that would help me tune up quickly. I tried a clip on and didn't like the lag, albeit a short one between the time I plucked the string and the time I saw the note on the read out. The Korg is super quick to register and has 4 different ways of showing how in or out of tune you are. The housing is robust and the design is sleek. I would definitely recommend this tuner pedal if you're looking for an accurate, quick tune up at a fair price. ... show more

  • Good basic tuner with great display
Color: Black
This is an unusual looking pedal, with an angled metal top. Be aware the base of the pedal is plastic. I don't anticipate this to be a problem but it is not a full metal enclosure. The controls are basic and require a battery to store, apparently. Without a battery it will default to the first tuning mode. I happen to like the tuning mode that shows a strobe on one side. I use it with a battery so my setting is stored. Tuners can be under and over-sensitive. A guitar's frequency will vary slightly as it sounds out, and some pedals will jump all over the place. Others won't give you the precision you need. I would say this one is just right in this regard - you can slowly bring a note up to tune. The best thing about this tuner is the display. It looks like a huge LCD or something but I think it's actually LEDs behind some kind of cloudy material. It's hard to describe but it's quite pretty and very clear. The only knocks against it lacks some features (ability to tune all strings at once, fancy tunings) but as a good quality chromatic tuner it is a good value. I don't think you'll be dissapointed. The one big improvement I would make is to add a switchable buffer. It's often helpful to have a buffer in a tuner pedal since it tends to go before other pedals. However, for 50 dollars or so, this is a great tuner. For significantly more, I'd be looking at the TC and Peterson options. ... show more

  • BADASS!!!
Color: Black
I have some pretty nice clip on tuners to include Snark's Super Tight HZ, and a Peterson Strobe. This pedal tuner beats them all. Contrary to what some ppl are saying, it does display sharps & flats, (see pic). In fact, I tune to Eb, (D#) on my D41. And this pedal tunes it perfectly. There

  • A+ tuner
Color: Black
I play in a band with 6 people. It's impossible to get them to stop playing to tune. I had a nice tuner but I think it was blown by a defective power supply. This one works, works when the electric guitar just won't stop fiddling, and doesn't mind being daisy chained into my pedal board. It's easy to see and my guitar is in tune. I love it. ... show more

  • Dead after a month (follow up)
Color: Black
Purchased it on July 24. Went to use it on Aug. 29th, and it was dead. Replaced the battery...nothing. I've contacted the company about it, so I guess we'll see what kind of customer service they provide. Well, its been a couple of months. I contacted the company, and heard absolutely nothing from them. It did the job while it lasted, but it didn't last long, and there was zero customer service help. • Excellent Tuner
Color: Metallic White
I needed a floor tuner that I could easily read outside in the sun. I ordered the version that had the black background and large white letters for very high contrast and this tuner was perfect. I needed to change my guitar tuning during an outdoor show and as fast as possible and it worked great. It also has mutes when you tune and has a direct through when you play so there is no change of tone. I highly recommend this tuner for any application. ... show more

  • Not a silent switch
Color: Black
Beautiful piece of equipment but definitely not a silent switch. The Boss TU3 is silent. When I click the Korg from tuning to no tuning, I hear the click in the amp, and through the delay or reverb. No such problem with Boss. I’ll stick with what I have. Too bad, I like the tuning presentations better on this Korg. But I can’t use it on stage or especially recording.. ... show more
