Attached vertical bars to metal posts with hose clamps and rubber backing to reduce slippage. The vertical bars are 32" long and just a bit short for my three kayaks. It is a snug fit yet manageable. An extra 4" on the vertical bars would be ideal. Overall, the best solution I could find for my need to store kayaks on the shore and off my dock.
