Be aware that this fan requires a 2-amp or greater (2A, 2.1A, etc.) power source to recharge the battery. Original Apple 5W 1A power adapters (square block) and 1A third-party adapters will NOT recharge the fan's battery, and you'll want an Apple 10W 2.1A, 12W 2.4A, or similar 2A+ third-party adapter. As well, if you plug the fan into a USB port that provides less than 2A of power, it will not charge - I discovered this after plugging it into the USB port of my Bowflex Max elliptical trainer and having it stop on me (from a dead battery). Apart from that, the fan is great. Powerful but not loud, a very strong clamp, lightweight, and portable. The battery life appears to be long - you could recharge it between workouts if you don't have easy access to a 2A power source in your workout area. ... show more

Finally, what I have been looking for for my treadmill. I used to have one of those small fans with the bendy tentacle legs, but it was too weak for cooling a fat sweaty person on a treadmill, and at any rate, repositioning the legs on those weakens them and they eventually snap off. This has 3 different speeds, and the clip is wide and thoughtfully rounded for attaching to a bar. Fits perfectly on my treadmill, and finally I have a working fan. I needed a fan for our bedroom in our rv and was looking for something to run on or batteries but that meant I had to install some cigarette plugs which would have been a lot of work... then I saw these rechargeable battery fans. Thought I'd give it a try. Theses are Great. First it eliminated the need for me to run electrical wires and install 12v receptacles in the rv. Second it's so portable I can move it around wherever I need it. Third it works great. Nice breeze even on low, and the battery lasts a long time. The fan sits by my bed about 3 feet away and the low speed is actually almost too much directly on me... but I love it. It's so quiet that a few times I forgot to turn it off... came back and even after 16 hours it still had 33% battery left. It's neat that it can clip onto a pole or table, but I've just used it sitting on its stand. No problems. I haven't used it overnight plugged into power because the battery is plenty strong and I heard that leaving batteries powered on all the time aren't good for the batteries. Who knows? Used this fan for the first time attached to my push golf cart. Ran on high speed for 4 hours. When I returned home to charge it, the battery indicated that it still had at least 60% power remaining. The clamp was strong and I had no worry of it falling off the cart handle. The fan was powerful and very quiet. The only minor downfall is that one of the nut coverings fell off while walking. I recovered and reattached it and fell off again later in the round. Both times it hit my cart so I was able to hear it fall and recover the part. I believe its a cosmetic part but I expect it not to fall off while just walking. ... show more

I work in the warehouse which is very hot and maintains a high humidity level. The daily struggle is to maintain hydration. This little 8-in fan clips easily onto the cart that I push and blows a continuous stream of air onto my face and neck which helps to keep me cool and from sweating it through my clothes. It has an approximate 6 hour charge time for full, and while running on high continuously it lasted for 8 hour! This is a game changer for me and I strongly endorse it for personal use. The clip is very strong and allows for gripping on many edges and surfaces.
