I cannot blame the product but for some reason my Rottweiler which loves to chew on everything has shown no interest in chewing on this :( I filled it with Grain twice and he just bopped it around until all the grain fell out of the larger hole and just ate it. I am not going to put peanut butter in it because anything that is left behind may develop bacteria and possibly make him sick. Vance is a huge fan. Can be filled with peanut butter and then frozen or have a treat mushed down into it. He gets very invested in getting all of the food out and requests it to be refilled. Would definitely recommend, the size is perfect :)

I am so grateful for this Kong chew toy. It is very durable for extremely strong aggressive chewers. I also find this toy to be one of the best to entertain my German Shepherd with or without putting anything inside. However, when I put some of my dog's food mixed with doggie peanut butter inside he is entertained for hours. It is interesting & funny to watch my dog try to figure out how to get the food out. Just one caution if deciding to freeze Kong with food/treats and other bonding element, please leave a hole in the center when freezing. If no hole is left this can be very dangerous and life threatening for dogs. Nothing has happened to my dog but I was given this information by an animal training professional. ... show more

I have a 18 month old, 60 pound Labrador retriever/German shepherd mix that is an extremely aggressive chewer. Most toys last a day or two. I bought him another brand a rubbery chew toy made for aggressive chewers and it lasted a week. This Kong toy is at a little over two weeks and not one issue. The Black Kong is the ONLY toy that our Kelpie pup has not been able to destroy completely, or even bite off small pieces of. So very pleased. We aren’t worried about her choking on pieces of the toy. Obviously we should be watching our pets when they have toys, but I find myself more relaxed with this Kong. The opening for treats is just right. We usually jam a peeled apple slices into the Kong. That usually keeps her busy for up to a half an hour. She also has enjoyed just biting and tossing it since it bounces unpredictably- she will pounce on it and chase it around the room. 5 stars! ... show more

my dog seems to pride himself on how fast he can destroy a toy i get him ... best time was less than 30 min with an "indestructible" toy but this thing has last so far with not so much as a scratch ... he keeps trying and barking at it as to tell it to give in .... will definitely buy another one soon just in case he buries this one ... show more
