Unlike others I've purchase on Amazon, this container has a well fitting lid. I use it to store rice in. It holds almost a 25 lb bag. I had about 6 cups of rice left, which I stored in a jar.

    • Solid container (not airtight) that holds what we want it to hold
We were looking for a container that would hold enough dog food for a 90 lb dog for about 2 weeks that was also easy to carry and store in a large cupboard on our travel trailer. This container is almost perfect. (I say almost, because it doesn't quite hold 14 days of dog food for our particular dog). Since all 4 sides snap down, the container is closed well enough to be carried by the handle alone to and from the trailer. The handle is recessed, so it is out of the way when not in use, and other things can be carried on top of the container. It has worked for us well. The only potential downside is that closing all 4 sides can be difficult, and if the clasps on one side break, the other 3 sides will not be enough to hold the container closed, expecially when carrying it by the handle. This container is not airtight, because although the lid is closed along almost all of each of the 4 sides, it is not closed completely the entire circumference of the container. It does keep dog food fresh, but I don't think it would keep liquid from leaking out if it were tipped. ... show more

    • Excellent Product - will buy again, and again…
I have purchased 8 Komax Biokips extra large storage containers as well as 11 smaller containers for my bulk dry food storage. I keep AP flour, bread flour, oatmeal, rice, white cane sugar, confectioners sugar, brown sugar, xylitol, biscuit flour, cornmeal, and waffle mix in them. And they stack nicely. I have used them for more than 5 years with no problem whatsoever. I love these containers. We used to have a problem with mice in our pantry. Since using these - no mice. I like a good buy and prefer to buy in bulk for staples since the prices are better and the products are all shelf stable. But it does no good to do that if they are ruined by moisture or critters of any kind. Every single container, purchased over about a 5-year time frame (so obviously not from same manufactured batch) work perfectly, which indicates good quality control. These are my go-to containers for air-tight storage. I highly recommend this product! ... show more

I bought this to use to store a large amount of dry pancake batter mix and I also bought one for flour. I like the extra secure lid and that I can use scoops easily with no mess. Works perfectly
