When I received them one of the lids was missing the pour spout cover. I contacted customer service and they were great. They sent two replacement lids the next day.     • Best Cereal Containers
We have used these containers for more than 3 years, and never once has our cereal gone stale! We use them very often, usually multiple times a week, and they have proven to be very durable. Our toddler has even dropped them on a couple of occasions and still no damage. They are excellent for cereal storage or snack mix and provide very easy pouring. The one side of the container is indented to help you have a better grip when pouring. Another huge advantage is the size, it will hold more than a full standard box of cereal. It will easily hold the larger box of cereal and in some cases, depending on the cereal, it will hold the family size box. The tabs that hold the top of the container in place are durable and have held up very well with time, and are very secure when closed properly. The flip top where the cereal pours doesn't stay up on one of them, after all the repeated use of 3 years but, that is to be expected with time. Plus it isn't a big deal to hold it open with your other hand while pouring. It still closes and seals well keeping the cereal fresh. We bought them the first time in 2017 and have bought more them of a couple of times since. We absolutely love these containers and cannot recommend them enough!     • Lid still seals like it did on day 1, 4 years later.
I love reading online reviews. Some people give it a 1 star because a product showed up damaged. Seriously? Or they say they washed it and a tab broke the first day they had it. It was most likely damaged from transport(which happens from time to time). I also read about the hole on top being inconvenient or something but I'm not sure what they mean because we've never had an issue pouring out cereal from it,, even shredded mini what's. Maybe you need to give it a little extra shake from time to time but that's it. Return it and try again if it shows up broke. My family has had 4 of these for almost 4 years now and the lids still snap on like the day we bought them. Does it fit the gigantic cereal boxes, no, but it fits a standard box just fine and ever since we gave these a try, our cereal and grains have stayed fresh for long periods of time. I'm not completely sure if these are dishwasher safe but we've never ran them through it. It would take up a lot of space in there and it's cereal dust, which really only needs a rinsing and light scrub with a wash cloth or sponge anyways. These containers are well made, however, I am not sure they are airtight. The pour opening does not have a silicone gasket like the rest of the container and does not seem to have a tight close. Not sure if I am keeping them.

    • I love these containers
I love these containers. I've always seen them in other people's houses and thought they were exactly what I needed. I have a wooden pantry so after too long, boxes and bags of food will taste like wood in addition to being stale. The lids lock on and are really secure, and there's an opening that pops up so you can pour your cereal out. It really is an airtight seal. Nothing can get in or out. It keeps my cereal from getting stale. Also these containers are actually very roomy. A standard 11 ounce box of cereal fills up the container about two-thirds. They are a little wider than cereal boxes, so they take up just a little more space, but not a big deal. The containers preserve flavor very well, but I noticed the flavor seems to stick to the containers like glue. Even after a thorough wash between uses, it sometimes has a lingering scent of whatever food was previously inside it. Obviously the scent will be stronger depending on the length of time your food has been inside the container. I air them out but even after a day, they still have the sweet and fruity smells of past cereals. And when you put a different cereal in, the scent will stick to the new cereal as well and affect the taste. If you're buying these for the first time, it might be wise to get a couple so you can air dry them for three or more days between cereals and rotate. Or just use one container per cereal/snack and label it so they never mix. ... show more
