The PHA pearls slowly dissolve leading to a reduction in nitrate and phosphate levels in your aquarium water. Made without fillers or harmful chemicals, our 100% PHA Bio-Pellets are safe for all fish and corals across all types of water and aquariums. For best results, we recommend using with a fluidized media reactor with gentle tumbling of the media in water flow. Kolar Labs Metabolix Bio-Pellets are made to rigorous quality and purity standards in the USA. How to Use: ● Standard dose – 180g or approximately 1 cup/50 gallons in a fluidized reactor ● For aquariums with measurable nitrates – ½ to even ¼ starting dose for the first 3-4 weeks, increasing weekly thereafter ● Add or replace pellets as needed – do not let pellets dissolve below ½ the original amount ● Rinse and soak new media for up to 24 hours to prevent floating ● Keep pellets moving within reactor to prevent clumping or clogging ● For best results, exiting water from fluidized reactor should flow directly into a quality protein skimmer intake ● Watch for cloudiness during the first 4 weeks – if substantial cloudiness occurs, reduce pellets by ½ and change water Get to Know Kolar Labs Kolar Labs has been the source for premium filter medias in the aquarium industry for years.
