The build quality appears to be good & functional. Provides a decent amount of shade. The side shade is a plus & both screens fit well. The negatives are that it did not provide an installation paper or explanation of the installation parts. Most of it is self-explanatory but came with installation parts that may need some explanation. It came with a metal L shape hook with mounting screws & caps (see pic). I have no desire to drill into my walls & unsure how you would use it. Additionally, comes with (7) bungee cords, (5) stakes, (2) S hooks, (2) slide adapters & (1) adhesive hook. I will opt to us my metal stakes vs the plastic ones provided. Simply slide the corded side of the main screen into the channel of the awning, it only has 3 grommets to attach bungee cords at the bottom. Side screen, I placed a slide adapter & S hook on the awning channel & then attached the adhesive hook on the bar that extends out from the wall. Reinforced the adhesive hook with 3 zip ties. This did not impede the closing of my awning but any lower it possibly could. This makes it easy for me to connect the grommets from the screen. Since it comes with only one adhesive hook this only works for one side. Recommend they put 2 adhesive hooks in the kit. The kit provides (5) bungee cords to stake both screens & (2) bungee cords I guess as an alternative to attach side screen. Rather you use bungee cords or S hook/adhesive adapter you would need to get on the roof or use a ladder to connect side screen on the RV wall side. Update: Adhesive hook failed & solved it with a heavy duty suction cup you can get from Amazon. See updated pictures.

Super easy to install and fits right into the track of the awning, they gave us other hardware and hooks I'm not really sure what they're for but they have nothing to do with the installation. We installed it last week and have had some higher winds, so far so great!

This has been a life saver for camping in the Florida sun. I try to reserve campsites that are somewhat shady to try to offset the full on heat of the Florida sun but often times that is not an option. This sun shade screen really helps. It feels well made and sturdy. It has the "cord" sewn in the whole length of the shade so once you slide it into your awning it is really secure. It has a really strong feeling material double sewn around the cord ensuring that it will hold well for a good while. I had to clean out the channel on my awning as I had never put anything into it. It had all manner of gunk and trash in it. Once I had it all cleaned out I sprayed in some silicone spray the whole length just to make the shade slide in easier. Once that was done the installation was so easy. I got it started and just slid it right in. Removal was equally as easy. The shade screen feels nice and heavy and does block a good amount of sun but doesn't block all of the breeze. I also really like the ripstop nylon on the top and the bottom. This should help keep it from ripping in these high tension areas. It fits my awning size well offering lots of shade. While this will make it somewhat more private, if you are outside at the campground you have to assume you have no privacy. I like that it includes a little carry bag to keep everything together and make it easy to store. I think the functionality of this is great. For the money, this packs a lot of value.

We have an RV parked seasonally by a small lake at a campground in Michigan. We upgraded our camper this year to a bigger pop-out RV with an automatic awning. Unlike our last one, which lost the awning to a windstorm, we appreciate the awning on this newer camper. However, I wanted something to make it feel a bit more enclosed, like a four-seasons type of room. Something that can be used to sit outside all day without feeling overheated or sun-stroked. There have been times when I have fallen asleep on the deck and woke up to find the sun directly on me in a different spot. I needed something to keep it a bit cooler during this heatwave we have been having. I feel like this outdoor sun-shade does a nice job of keeping the area cooler. Although it doesn't completely enclose the space, the shades help minimize the bug problem. I took a day nap today, and let me tell you it was such a nice nap in the shade. I wasn't rudely awakened by the sun beaming in my face. The installation was easy with straightforward instructions, bungee cords, and hooks. I had this installed in about 10 minutes. We've been enjoying the hot days without overheating in the desert sun. The sun shades work great. It fit onto my awning track with no issues. The quality of the materials feels outstanding; nothing lightweight about it. With quality like this, I imagine this lasting many seasons to come.

After receiving this RV awning kit through the Vine program, I can say it's a game-changer. I was skeptical that it would block out 90% of UV rays as advertised, but it really does, making my campsite much more comfortable. The splendid design of the central cut-out provided great airflow while still giving us a surprising amount of privacy. Installation was incredibly easy, living up to the promise of taking only a few minutes. The poly cord slides smoothly into the awning roller tube, and the bungee balls and iron stakes hold the whole thing securely, even on windy days. The double-stitched sewing and reinforced grommets also make it feel durable enough to handle plenty of use. This kit has been a great addition to my RV setup, and I now have a cool, private space to relax and get away from the sun. The only minor issue is the limited coverage on the side, but it's still more than enough to make a difference. If you're looking to upgrade your outdoor RV experience, this kit is an excellent choice.
