This is the second time I have purchased this exact same faucet. First time for my own house a few years ago, and this time for my parents’ house. Compared to other Kohler (and Moen and other reputable brands) faucets, this one seems to always be priced lower than comparable touchless faucets. The on/off sensor is positioned underneath the top curve of the faucet, which in my opinion is one of the better touchless faucet designs out there. Fewer accidental sensor activations with this one compared to the more common design where the sensor is near the bottom of the faucet right in front of where your hands and dishes are. And we never liked the design that requires you to actually tap the faucet; that leads to water marks on the faucet and therefore more wiping and cleaning needed. The faucet is beautiful and works perfectly. The sensor is fine, however, having had other sink sensors in the past, there were 2 sensor functions I overlooked. This faucet has 1 sensor, a previous faucet I had in a different house had 2. To operate this faucet, you must run your hand under the faucet to start the faucet, and run your hand under the sensor a second time to shut the water off - alternatively, there is an automatic shut-off, but the shutoff is after water runs 4 minutes. The benefit of not having a quick automatic shut off is if you are filling up a large pot, you don't have to deal with water shutting off early, which is fine. However, on a different faucet I've had, the bottom sensor was a quick on and off. It turned on when there was an object there, and it shut off when the object was removed without having to run your hand under a second time. The second sensor on the other faucet was on top, and if you wanted to bypass the automatic shut-off to fill a large pot, you would run your hand over the top sensor and then fill and manually stop. It is a small difference and not a major complaint. For the aesthetics of this faucet, if 1 sensor is the only option, I would not change my purchase decision, but if there are other models that include the second sensor I describe, I would have purchased that instead. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We used this exact faucet at our previous home for about four years and loved it, so in our new home we ordered another to replace an old pull-out faucet. Installation was fast, I removed the head and flushed any debris out of the lines, and reinstalled the head. The flat spray works great, we really love this feature. However, the aerator is not a solid stream as it should be, it sputters around the edges. If you try to fill up a glass you must get it very close or you will get water sputtering on your hand and outside of the glass. I have read about this issue on other recent Kohler faucets, but was hoping it would not affect this older model. Kohler seems to be using different, perhaps cheaper, parts. It is a shame, but we otherwise love this faucet so I will order a kit to replace the aerator and see if that helps. ... show more
