  • Brillant Design With All The Bells And Whistles
Pattern Name: With Side Panel Color: White
As a tech enthusiast, I approach every gadget with a critical eye. The Kohler PureWash E590 doesn’t disppointment. Pressure Play: The E590's spray is a marvel of adjustability. From a gentle cascade to a targeted power wash, it caters to every cleansing preference. The pulsating mode is a nice touch, adding a rhythmic massage element. Temperature Titan: The seat's rapid heating and precise water temperature control ensure a hot wash and no more goosebumps! Spray Sensei: The oscillating and positional nozzle movement is like a robotic dance of cleanliness, ensuring thorough coverage. Plus, the self-cleaning and UV sanitation features put hygiene on autopilot. Easy Installation: The quick-connect fittings and clear instructions make installation a breeze, even for non-DIYers like myself. Intuitive Interface: The side panel controls are a model of user-friendliness. Everything from spray strength to dryer temperature is clearly labeled and readily accessible. Nightlight Nirvana: The subtle nightlight is thoughtful, guiding you safely to the throne in the wee hours. • Worth Every Penny
Pattern Name: With Side Panel Color: White
I spent a lot of time looking around Amazon for an electric toilet seat/bidet and I kind of got into "analysis paralysis" with all of the choices, the different prices, all of the different features, and all of the positive and negative reviews. I knew going with Kohler was somewhat of a safe bet because I have a few of their other products and the quality seems to be good. Basically, I knew I wanted an electric toilet seat with a bidet with a seat heater, electric deodorizer, and with warm water. I also knew I did NOT want a toilet seat with a remote controller (seriously, why do you need a remote to control something you are literally sitting on?). I found this bidet to be fairly easy to install. I have almost zero plumbing experience, so I was thankful for that. The seat controls are VERY easy to figure out. Everything is pretty self-explanatory. The deodorizer is...ok. It's not the greatest, but it's WAY better than a bidet that doesn't come with one. I love that the toilet seat has an automatic light that turns on at night. I like that it is self-cleaning. I love that the seat is always warm. *One thing to note is that the bidet does not have a connection to your hot water source.* This was actually a POSITIVE selling point for me, because I didn't want to have to drill a hole in my cabinet to get to the sink connections. This means, however, that even if you set the bidet water to the warmest setting, is not going to be warm right away. It does warm up very quickly (I'm talking seconds), though, and I have had no issues with it. The electrical cord doesn't reach too far. My bathroom outlet is right next to the toilet, but it is on TOP of the counter, not below it (I feel like this is how most bathrooms are). So I was disappointed that the cord does not reach that far, however, I got an inexpensive 3-pronged extension cord and that solved the problem. Ultimately, I've had this toilet seat / bidet for about 3 months now and I still love it. Guests love it too! For what fancy bidets are going for these days, I think this is absolutely worth it. ... show more

  • 2 Thumbs Up for Kohler Bidet Seat
Pattern Name: With Side Panel Color: White
New to using a bidet and didn’t want to spend for complete bidet toilet that if I didn’t like would cost me a significant amount of money plus the cost of taking it out and replacing with a regular toilet. The solution is just buying the bidet seat and decided on this Kohler because of the their years of experience with the bidet seat. My conclusions is it works grrrreeeaat! I can’t imagine a total bidet toilet could be any better. Easy to install but you do need a wall socket close to the toilet, easy for an electrician to install the wall socket. The bidet seat is very easy to install and easy to use. Lots of great features, including: heated seat, water temperature control, choice of water spray direction, deodorizer fan, drying fan, cleaning features and more. Using a bidet is easy and an improvement on personal hygiene. I’ve been using this Kohler bidet seat for 3 months so can’t comment on the life of this unit but it being a Kohler and the reviews I’m expecting years of pleasurable use. If there is any problem Kohler has a good help line and many plumbers know this unit for repair. If it couldn’t be fixed they are so cost effective I’d just replace it with the same bidet seat. I highly recommend this wonderful product. ... show more

  • Almost great. Not sure about the pricetag.
Pattern Name: With Side Panel Color: White
I bought this because my wife is always worried about the bidet nozzle getting poop on it. Between the automatic rinses, the disinfecting UV light, and ESPECIALLY the door flaps protecting both the fan and nozzle from liquid poop splatters; I knew this was the right bidet for us. PROS: - I never knew I wanted a heated seat until I used one and then pooped somewhere else on a cold seat. - The flaps do their job magnificently. - There is actually an odor eliminator in the seat that starts when you sit. When you're sharing a bathroom and you both ate spicy tacos, this is super nice. - The seat is sort of awkwardly shaped in the back, but it makes you sit in just the right position to get sprayed in the right spot. - It hits that right spot and leaves both the wife and I feeling clean enough to let the other admire our butts with the confidence of knowing nothing was left behind. CONS: - The air dryer feels like it's blowing a very light breeze of cold air on your bum. It negates the benefit of having a warm water rinse. Also, the breeze is so light that it doesn't actually do anything to dry you off. I still find myself wiping once just to dry off. - You need to have an electric outlet near your toilet. I got super lucky and already had one there, but make sure you look for one. At my old house (and other bathroom) I would have needed to run an extension cord across the floor or over the sink to make this thing work. - It's kind of an energy hog. It's nice having a heated seat when you need it, but a real waste of energy to keep the seat warm while it waits for your cheeks. - The water pressure is lacking. I was somewhat surprised because we have phenomenal water pressure in the bathroom, but this is by far the weakest bidet of any that I have tried. It gets the job done, but I sometimes want to have a power washer scrape anything lingering around. I had a Tushy in a 3rd floor condo with awful water pressure and this is weaker than that. This might be necessary due to the need to heat the water before spraying it. More pressure = More Water = Less Time to heat water - Air dryer can send odors out of the toilet bowl and into the room. MAKE SURE YOU FLUSH BEFORE FIRING THAT UP! - That remote controlled unit was an extra $100. I opted for the one with the buttons on the side as the only means of control. In hindsight, the extra $100 might have been worth it. I don't use most of the buttons on the toilet because I can never remember what they all do and you never know what heat setting or pulse pattern it's on because I can't see the controller. I have a lot of pictures of my naked butt cheek and the control panel on my phone so I can figure out what's going on. Hopefully I'll memorize it some day, but as of now, I just use the rear wash and stop button when I poop. ... show more

  • Can a bidet be life changing? THE ANSWER IS YES!
Pattern Name: With Side Panel Color: White
Oddly, this is my favorite purchase of the year. I had NO idea this is what my life has been missing. It was super easy to install... took me probably 20 minutes and I don't know anything about plumbing. The bidet is AMAZING. I will never NOT be able to own one of these. Who knew a toilet seat could be so life changing. The seat stays heated and that was a nice surprise the first time I sat down. I like having the controller right on the seat itself. There are ones with remotes - but what's the point, when you're already sitting down. You can adjust all kinds of options. There is also a nightlight built in. I didn't particularly like that option as I could see it from my bedroom glowing. If you need to turn this off, press the "stop" button for 3 seconds. This was not in the instruction manual that came with it. I had to google that. The size is just right - no issues fitting right onto my existing toilet base. If you need to remove, its also a simple task - it slides right off (was concerned about this for cleaning purposes). ... show more

  • This Fits The Jacuzzi Primo Toilet Perfectly!
Pattern Name: With Side Panel Color: White
First of all, I went through 4 bidets trying to find one that fit this crappy toilet. The Jacuzzi Primo does not have enough water pressure for the bidet to work at its maximum potential. The main thing is that this bidet fits. It is a little longer in the front but no big deal. The electrical cord is longer and on the left (looking toward it) when most are on the right with shorter cords. The bidet works very nicely. After everything I went through to find a bidet to fit, I'm thinking on buying a new toilet for better water pressure. UPDATE: Still, this is a very nice bidet and works very well and the water pressure on it works fine. I bought this to make life easier for myself and my 94 year old mom whom I am caregiver for since she has Alzheimer's and rheumatoid arthritis, but had to send it back because there isn't a remote and she couldn't reach the buttons on the side. Also, it's very complicated to figure out all of the functions especially since I have ADD. ... show more

  • The dual benefit of cleaning your behind as well really doesn't work well -you still need tissue
Pattern Name: With Side Panel Color: White
Having purchased and used this bidet for 4 months - all the electronic functions do work without fail. However - the rear wand sprayer doesn't clean as well as expected. You still have to use toilet paper. Bidet advertizements would lead you to belive you won't be using much toilet tissue- not true. The other "front sprayer" is fine for female use. I' ll give 4 stars for easy install and 4 stars for quality. ... show more

  • Replaced my K 4737 with this model. Both are great.
Pattern Name: With Side Panel Color: White
I just purchased this to replace my well used Kohler K 4737. We had that model for 6 1/2 years. Never a problem. Heavily used. We just decided to take advantage of a good price on this newer model. I really felt badly when I disposed of an old friend that never let us down. I will compare the two. The biggest difference to me is the inline hybrid heater of this model, vs the tank heater of the K 4737. I like the tank heater better. Immediate and very hot water. Can actually feel scalding at the highest setting. Reheats very quickly. The 8298 starts off cool, and does not get as hot. Why get the new model? The K 4737 looks like it belongs in a nursing home, with its high tank. The new model looks much better. The new model has stainless steel nozzles vs plastic. My wife says this will be much easier to clean. The new model also feels more comfortable to sit in. I didn’t need to change the fittings when I switched seats. That was nice. Caution. Before you place the seat on the toilet, pull out the inlet connection from the seat. I mounted it first, and was not able to pull out the inlet tube. Had to remove the seat. When I reinstalled it, a 10 second job, I could not get the seat to lock in place again. Maybe a benefit. Doesn’t move. Easier to pull out to clean. These are very easy to pull away for cleaning, even when locked. Just push a tab. I have had two other brands that had remotes. Found them to be a pain, that constantly dropped on the hard bathroom floor. Did not want a remote model. Both of the other brands worked nicely, but developed defects within two years for one, and 90 days for the other. Junked them. Mfg no help. In my review of the K 4737, I put three photos on, showing the installation by an electrician. Metal sheathed wiring was connected and ran from the GFI plug, under the sink cabinet, and another plug was installed on the cabinet side next to the toilet. Nice to have a second plug on the other side of the cabinet. Let me separate the waterpic from the electric toothbrush. Installation was neat, invisible, and no wall repairs were needed, Also want to add that I installed the other brands in a different bathroom. The electrician, from the same company, had no idea what to do. Had no metal sheathed wiring, required per code. I showed him the first installation He replicated it. Recommend that if you have an electrician out to do one plug, have him do it for your other bathrooms at the same time. If you need it for another bidet it will be there. If not, the extra plug is nice. ... show more
