We bought this sink for upgrade in our kitchen. The side we wash dishes on is losing its luster. We had the sink since April 2023. We are not hard on the sink either. I had goggled to seek answer to get that strong black luster back. The recommendations were to use food grade mineral oil on the sink. The oil does work, but you have to do it constantly, which is a pain. I will keep doing it because I like the look.

This is the THIRD sink l received in as many weeks. All were damaged in the package upon receiving them. The first two were composite sinks from Franke, both severely damaged when delivered. I decided to go with a Kohler composite sink (hoping the packaging would be better from another manufacturer). Same exact result....destroyed when delivered. I am a loyal customer with Amazon and rarely experience any issues, but three times with the SAME issue is very disappointing.

We just received our sink. It is absolutely beautiful. The packaging was simply fantastic. My mom passed away unexpectedly on October 12, so our house remodeling was out on hold. Our sink was put in on Friday April 9th. We all love it!!

Hard to say what the perfect sink is these days, but this is a nice try. A bit noisy with the golf ball drop test, but maybe that's because it's not installed yet. The installer was planning the kitchen sink area and wanted to know if this is an over or an under. Perhaps a special feature because it is both or basically either one. This makes is more flexible than some that are just intended to go one way and don't work the other. Of course this is KOHLER, a name brand in kitchens and bathrooms when it comes to sinks and fixtures. It sports one hole in the middle for a type of spout / faucets / sprayer that used a single water control integrated on the side of the spout and the spout is part sprayer. However if you are more traditional with your fixtures you have two additional knockouts for the hot and cold faucets, and one more for a traditional corded sprayer. Today, I think it's better to go with the single. This is a flat black (matte) and so it will not give off any glare to the overhead lights, but while not a big hazard remember it will absorb heat from the sun if used in front of a window like may installations. Make note that this is not like some other metal with black laminate that hit hard enough or with wear will chip and leave shiny metal. It is a composite that is to wear like stone and solid that way through. It's got some heft too it at 45 pounds, a similar sink in stainless weighs in at about 10 pounds less. Should be fairly easy to keep clean as well since it won't rust (some of the cheap stainless sinks do). How do I know this, I lived in a cheap apartment in Chicago for six months on assignment. They were certainly not luxury kitchen fixtures, the sink a single large basin with the disposal in the middle, and a plug style cap with no strainer (this has dual center strainers). Well, there was a lot of rust on the sink to begin with, it was cheap stainless, and if standing water was left in for a couple days it seemed to develop a rust ring about the waterline. I can't say I've ever seen rust that easy for stainless, but later I had some supposedly stainless cutting knives on a cheap set that did the same, so all stainless is on created equal. Here you don't have to worry. I would wonder about heat or cold expansion over time, but I'm sure KOHLER has tested this composite, and you do have a one year warranty to test out that issue. At least it won't go thump when like when the stainless pops when I pour in a large boiling pot of spaghetti water on my current stainless set. Recommended, may have given it more but for the near 500 dollar price of the black vs 150 less for the brown color. So a bit pricey over most sinks.

My sink arrived with a corner broken off so now I get the pleasure of returning it which is a pain in the butt for me as I live out in the country so have to take it into town then order it again and hope for the best. None of my hardware/building supply places can get me this sink so I ordered it here. Kind of depressing lol

I'm not a handyman. I'm not a handyman. I say that all the time to my wife who wants me to do home improvement projects. I've just never had the skills. But, more and more, I'm giving it a good try. I need simple. And when it came time to replace a sink, I still needed simple. To my very surprise, the KOHLER Kennon made me look like a pro. The KOHLER Kennon comes in a large, somewhat heavy box. The sink was expertly packed safely and it was very easy to remove. Everything you need to install was easy to find and accessible from the start. The sink comes with instructions but I found it easier to look on YouTube or other site to watch someone else install it. Once I got a good feel for what I was about to expect, I started the install process. Once I was able to get the old sink out, I simply popped this in with the proper sealants, and we were good to go. The sink looks amazing in our kitchen and adds more character. It is quite easy to clean to generic sinks that get installed in homes. If you are not a handyman like me, this sink will make your day with its easy installation and fantastic look.
