this might be just me, but i got this pillow for side-sleeping, because i often had a hard time with the pillow i had before. Its pretty nice for what it is, but it doesnt really match how i sleep on my side. However, when i tried sleeping on my back, it felt really nice! i think it does a good job of comfort for back sleeping, but at least for me, I have not been able to really figure out an optimal way for it to feel amazing when im sleeping on my side. Still a major upgrade over my last pillow, so i will continue to use it for a while. The one other issue, is that it gets streaks of brown on it, that dont come off in the wash. This is made a real difference it's absolutely essential to me because I've had a c4 C5 45 ml tear in the spine after a car accident in 2009 a recent visit to the orthopedic surgeon here at fitzgiven hospital in Saline County Missouri indicated to me that I thought it was a shoulder issue but it could be a neck issue and so I use a prescription TENS unit my head also took out the back windshield of the truck so these two things along with permanent myofascial damage that upper back it's absolutely essential for me to have this type of neck and head support it's been a real benefits and it's a it's a excellent product and it really is helpful because of the size it might seem otherwise for some people's perceptions but I found in practice and practical use the size of this has helped all the more it's really helped me to use it more and to stay stabilized more and to wake up without even thinking like oh I have some kind of a neck injury so this is this is a real blessing and I appreciate the company that has this product that I purchased through Amazon and thank you Amazon ... show more

I was really skeptical. This is a more expensive version (it appears) to similar items, but I did not want to sacrifice quality and I am glad I didn't. It did take some getting used to- getting used to being comfortable or what I didn't know was comfortable for my alignment. I think I have always just suffered and thought waking up with aches or pains was just a fact of life. But after having this now for over a week... my back (which gets stiff a lot from working at a desk) has loosened, my neck has loosened, and I have awoken refreshed for the last 3 nights. I do think your body has to readjust from what its "norm" was... and I am glad I have stuck out that growing period. ... show more

I purchased this pillow because I'm a migraine sufferer, side-sleeper, and both of my shoulders have overuse injuries making it difficult to rest comfortably at bedtime. The first night I slept on this pillow I had been having a migraine for six days and nothing worked except an exceptional ice roller I was recently gifted and this pillow. During my migraines, my neck and shoulder tension are often exacerbated by standard pillows, which don't provide good separation between the head, neck, and shoulders. I have gotten such great sleep. I sleep soundly. I don't wake up in the middle of the night. I comfortably fall asleep on my back and feel completely supported around my neck and shoulders. This is exactly the type of pillow I've been desparetly looking for and I'm very happy to have finally found it. My husband wants to try it, but he can wait until I go on my next business trip. Sitting at the computer all day working in a stressful job had started causing me consistent neck pain. After purchasing multiple ‘good pillows’ with no relief I decided it was time to try a cervical pillow. I read multiple reviews of the various brands and settled on this one. The first night with my pillow felt strange, it wasn’t like the fluffy pillows that I’m used to, but it does work. I start out sleeping on my back and end up either on my side or stomach and even though it took some getting used to, my neck pain is greatly reduced. I was even away from home without my pillow for 3 nights and discovered my neck pain came back. After returning home to my pillow the pain once again felt much better. Great pillow. ... show more

I waited a bit to write a review, I wasn't sure how I felt about the pillow at first. I got it mostly for tingling arms/hands. That issue started to fix itself before the pillow arrived but I still wanted to try/use it. I like the neck support when sleeping on my back or side and if my arms start to tingle I shift position and it fades away. I went away this past weekend and stayed in a hotel for two nights - I did not pack my Donama. I didn't have arm tingling issues but I did have uncomfortable sleep and neck irritations that I don't have with Donama. Getting home and looking forward to sleeping with this pillow again, and having it feel much better, is what finally made me decide to write a review. It's due to all the other reviews that I tried Donama in the first place so thanks, Other Reviewers, it's much appreciated. Hopefully mine can help someone out too. ... show more
