  • Good unit with some minor (install) reservations
Color: Biscuit Size: Elongated
If you’ve decided to get a bidet, I’ll first review this specific unit and the installation and then discuss my impressions of the practice after 64 years of not doing so. Overall, this is an excellent unit; it is well made, and I like the Biscuit color and elongated shape, which perfectly matches my Kolher toilet. This was one of the primary reasons I picked the unit, being a fan of Kohler products in the past. I’d give the unit five stars if the hardware that shipped worked with my existing Kohler toilet, but it does not. This is a caveat I’ll provide for anyone hoping to use this product: double-check the size of all the existing fittings! As shown in the photo I supplied, my Kohler toilet has a 3/8th proprietary metal line attached to the water outlet (which matches that 3/8 size). The Tee connector that comes with this product is 1/2 for all connections. In my case, this meant spending more money and time getting the right connections. I actually had a pro plumber remove the original water valve (compression to a water pipe) with a dual 3/8 valve, as seen in the photo I provided. As you can see, now one 3/8th hose goes from the toilet to the water line, and the 2nd goes from that valve to the Bidet. IOW, the white plastic cable (1/2 to 1/2 supplied) wasn’t used, nor was the supplied T valve. I had the plumber use a metal braided line to the bidet (3/4 to 1/2). It costs a bit more money, but I think the metal lines will be far more reliable in the end. So again, the WARNING (if you cut to the chase): do not assume that the T valve or any of the lines supplied with the bidet will work depending on your exiting lines. Even if you have a Kohler toilet! As for the unit, the seat is very nice, and I love the quick connect and reconnect feature for cleaning. Installation of this base unit is super simple. Overall quality is very good. Do realize the control handle sticks out a few inches and can only be used on one side. This should not be an issue for left-handed users; it is just that if you have a tight fit in your bathroom, you’ll have to ensure you have a good 3-5 inches to the right side of the toilet. The unit comes with three different spray nozzles; we used the default and think it (so far) is acceptable. As to the decision (after 64 years) to go for a Bidet. It has been a few days since installation, and so far, I will be a bidet convert, as will my wife. The primary concern was the temperature of the water (there is no way to heat it with this basic non-electric unit). The room-temperature water is not an issue whatsoever. I’m not saying heated water wouldn’t be nice, but it certainly isn’t required. We desired to use minimal paper and less of it going to our septic system, and I can say this will easily be accomplished. And more importantly, I do feel a lot cleaner after using a bidet, as you may already know if you’ve been a bidet convert. And if not yet a convert, if, like me, this is a new experiment, I can state that after a few days, I’m really happy with our decision to go this route, and I hope you will be as well. ... show more

  • Included T-valve wouldn't screw on toilet intake.
Color: Biscuit Size: Elongated
I got the seat attached ok, but I couldn't get the metal part of the T-valve to screw on to the plastic toilet intake. I stopped trying and for now it is just a toilet seat. I ordered a T- valve with a plastic part to screw on to the plastic thread, plus it has a shut off so that is a plus. Hopefully that will work so this isn't just a really expensive toilet seat. I'll update when I install the new part. Update 7/29/23 The new part went on much easier and I was able to get everything working without any leaks. It was not as easy an installation overall as many YouTube vids make it look due to mine being a really cramped space and me being a large (and inflexible) guy. As to the function, usability, and design...I think it works well, is super easy to use, and the design seems appropriate to the function. The water jet is plenty powerful and it aimed right where I needed it to without any adjustment. If there is one little criticism, I wish the water jet was not so narrow as I think it'd work better if it was maybe aerated a bit like a kitchen faucet. I ordered the toilet seat bidet instead of the add-on bidet devices that are much cheaper because I have a "biscuit" colored Kohler toilet and this matches it perfectly. I can't, of course, speak about the longevity of this item as I just installed it, but it seems well made. ... show more

  • It works but could be better
Color: Biscuit Size: Elongated
This is a simple bidet seat cover but since it is offered by and branded as a Kohler, maybe my expectations are a bit high. For the price it is probably what I should expect. The toilet seat is a bit flimsy and made of a relatively thin plastic which tends to bend and flexes when used. It doesn't give you a good feeling that it will last a long time. It is a perfect fit to my Kohler toilet. Functionally it works quite well. The design is relatively simple. Maybe they could have shortened the tilting/control lever to be less obtrusive, Also I wished they included a T-water adapter with a valve (instead of without one). I strongly recommend using a valved T-adapter (as some other reviewers did) not only so you can easily turn it off when kids may play with it, but also to regulate the strength of the water jet, particularly in places with high water pressure. It makes using it easier since you can just turn on the bidet to max and you automatically have the desired water pressure. I took an extra long time to attach the hose connector (to the bidet) as I was very worried I may cross thread the plastic male threads with the metal end of the hose. Either the gaskets were a tad too thick or the metal coupler was not deep enough. Overall it works as intended hopefully longer than my expectations. _______________________ UPDATE: After over 1 year this item held up debunking my initial impression of being flimsy. I was quite satisfied with it I bought 2 more to outfit the rest of my toilets. However, the last one I purchased recently (Jan 2023) had a very tiny leak (right at the point where the control lever pivots, to turn on the water). The leak was about 1/2 cup overnight. I requested a replacement from AMZ which was quickly delivered. Then again, the replacement had exactly the same leak at the same location. Instead of requesting another replacement from AMZ (thinking they had a bad batch) I decided to contact Kohler's customer service directly via the 800 number provided by AMZ. They seem to be aware of the issue and sent me a replacement in 2 days (I asked them to make sure it was from a different manufacturing batch). It's been several days and so far so good. Just like the first 2, no more leaks (knock on wood). ... show more

  • Great for those non-close electrical availability for upper model Bidet's!
Color: Biscuit Size: Elongated
Utilized this Bidet in our seasonal cabin. Easy to use and install. The only issue (thus 4 stars) is that I cannot seem to get the seat/mount to fully completely tighten without slight movement. I have attempted over and over to make it completely snug, but cannot get it to bite solid. It's not a hinderance, just noticeable. ... show more
