  • Matched my 22 year old units but with updated flush valve
Color: White
First time using ADA model and love it. Easy to install

  • No seat, water sprays up onto seat when flushing
My package did not include a toilet seat (I didn't contact Kohler to see if it was supposed to, as other reviews here on Amazon indicated the seat, when it was included, was extremely uncomfortable). Also did not include flange studs, and as these have to be cut to length when installing, which generally fouls the threads, they need to be replaced when installing a new toilet. Once installed, there is a small hole that directs water up, it sprayed above and onto the toilet seat. I do not know if this is a design or fabrication issue, but we were able to modify to correct. Fit and finish is good, the color is a perfect match to the other almond porcelain in the bathroom. It arrived promptly and undamaged. The flush mechanism is working well the first week. No leaks. ... show more

I purchased 3 of these tiolets for my bathrooms and love them. They are higher than a normal tiolet and everyone loves the height.

  • Never order a toilet online, unless is free
Well, it was a waste of time and should of just bought it at the store for a lot lower. I received it broken and had to return it.

  • You can't sit on it
Color: Biscuit
I purchased the Kohler Highline Classic K-14799-0. I have been told that it is similar to the other Highline models. I want to start by saying that this is a fantastic toilet, that meets or exceeds all my expectations - except one. The flush is powerful, and I have had no issues with it vacating the bowl. The different flush cycles (a quick push for liquid waste and a two second hold for solid waste) are efficient and effective. The entire operation is quiet. So, you rightly ask, how can I rate this so low. Simply, the seat is so uncomfortable no one in the family wants to use it. With a deep center that slopes up to an edge that is much too sharp - it cuts into your legs to the point of pain. The entire household goes down stairs to the family room to use the toilet there when the work to be done requires more than a quick sit-down. I called Kholer and was informed that if I wanted a new seat, I had to purchase one at my own expense. (I purchased my toilet at LOWS. I have been told that Home Depot does not use the same seat. That may, or may not, be true in your area.) Bottom line, if you consider this toilet, be prepared for the additional expense of a replacement seat. ... show more

  • A Zen Toilet
Color: Biscuit
Ladies and Gentlemen, I have returned from a long journey. A journey wherein I faced many difficult decisions about which toilet to buy. The bathroom should be a sanctuary from all outside issues--it is a place where the past and future should not impede, a place where one can become centered and focus. The tome of my knowledge is here for you. The three criteria in my search were: 1. Price 2. Flushability 3. Comfort For price, this toilet was right there with the rest of the toilets, pretty much. A bit more expensive than a lot of toilets, but not as expensive as some of the others I saw. I wanted to buy a toilet and not worry about it, so I was willing to pay a little bit more. Flushability is also of major import--you do not want to flush twice. The Highline Classic has some kind of "Class 5 Flushing Technology" and someone told me you could flush a bucket of golf balls down it. I did not test this but I was concerned about flush power. Allegedly (at least at Home Depot) this toilet has a flush rating of "10" on a scale from 1 to 10. No problems. Lastly, let's look at comfort, by far the most important. Getting the obvious out of the way (who doesn't buy oblong seats?), comfort is a matter of seat height. In sitting down and getting up, the higher the seat height, the easier it is on your body. Initially I was going to buy a toilet seat with a 19" seat height, but looking at the average height of humans, women (of 5'4" average seat height) find 19" to be uncomfortable--legs dangle and fall asleep! But at 16-1/2" seat height, a 5'4" person's feet still touch the ground and comfort is there. Eureka! May you go in peace, S. ... show more

  • faulty design, actually wastes water
Color: Biscuit
We bought this one for our new place because we really liked another Kohler model we had before. But it was probably one of the worst designed toilet in their line. 1. It doesn't flush well, so it actually wastes water if you have to flush twice. 2. the mouth is oval shape, and regular toilet plungers (which are round) do not work as the plungers can't cover the mouth. 3. It likes to clog. Quite a few people said they have to unclog it once every couple weeks. It's probably because of its long narrow neck (or whatever it's called) in the back. 4. The seat of this model is as cold as the porcelain. It will sure wake you up in the morning. It's thicker than most regular toilet seats, and it sure adds more height to the already tall toilet. I'm 5'8", someone over 6' might find it more comfortable. There are quite a few unclogging solutions online as clogging is common with this model. but I'd rather not have to deal with it. ... show more
